“We were looking for local cuisine and had The Vermilionville Restaurant recommended to us. My husband ordered the Jambalaya, my daughter ordered the Gumbo, while I ordered the baked potato to have room for bread pudding. All were delicious!I loved the many windows and brightness of the dining room. I also enjoyed the art by a local artist.”

“This is a fun place to go with friends or for a party. You choose your candle container and then the scents that you want to use. The staff walks you through the process and are very helpful with scent combinations. They take care of the final setup, and you can pick up your candle the following day. They also have a fun gift shop in the front of the business.”

“I went here to see a popular Zodeco artist. There are booths that they charge way too much for and no one was sitting in them. Besides that, good experience. Drinks are strong too...definite plus!”

“A brand new location for an event. The two rooms are absolutely beautiful. Interesting fixtures a d colors on the walls. Natural wood in the dance area. Just gorgeous for Any event. And I'm sure they will have great music as with the hideaway. I'm also sure they will have a great food Because the food at the Hideaway on Lee is outstanding. Can't wait to see what other things Hideaway Hall has to offer”

“I work for a local catering company and have worked many times at this venue and I must say their staff the location and the place as a whole absolutely fabulous. “Absolutely amazing stay at the Guesthouse! We stayed in the Birdsnest Room. There is a venue in the guesthouse, where bands were playing. The noise from the concert could not be heard in the room/very minimal noise from the concert. The bands were amazing and the concert goers were respectful. It was such a great atmosphere throughout the whole evening.Bathroom: The Birdsnest is the only room with its own bathroom. This bathroom has no showers but a nice and clean bathtub. We didn't use the bathtub, we used the communal showers on the ground floor. Clean towels, soaps, and even a toothbrush was provided.Room: Bed was super comfortable and the room was clean and little small birds all over the room which was a nice touch.Location: Just a few minutes away from downtown, Restaurants, bakery, supermarket and lots of other bars in a short walking distance. (5-10 minutes)Facilities: There is a kichen with communal fridge, freezer with ice, utensils and free coffee. There is a sitting room with games and comfy couches.Parking: we arrived on a friday afternoon, that meant parking on the road is free after 5pm and all weekend so we could park next to the guesthouse on the road (during the week there are a few parking lots nearby but not sure about the costs)Customer Service: Zeke was there to answer our questions, he was really friendly and accomodating. The person at the door for the concert was super friendly as well and our very favourite was 14 the cat who even spent the morning hanging out with us on the porch. The check in is via doorcode so there is no person to checkin with but the communication via mail was quick and helpful. The only little thing that could have been better was the broken shutters at the windows that could be fixed. We really enjoyed out time at the Blue Moon, it was our favourite place to stay on our whole roadtrip and if we come back, we definitely will stay there again!”

“We saw our first show in Lafayette Shen Yun.. we received our tickets from will call, which was readily available, and was able to go in to be seated. The area was smaller than we're used to however was still nice and comfortable, and the show was amazing. Do be prepared for the traffic while leaving the parking lot, it may be worth it to use the parking garage on the side.”

“Been going to for years (have over 10,000 points)...its our go to to just get away or when family comes in from Florida and we all want to be together....our kids grew up here! We love it but it definitely needed a remodel because time has affected her and that is exactly what they are doing and WE APPRECIATE THAT! Front desk is awesome as usual and super helpful and nice. The breakfast is honestly why we keep coming back! Like I said, our kids grew up coming here and now their kids come here and we all love eating breakfast by the fireplace! Just stayed there last night because my son wanted to go to a "nice room" to finish celebrating his birthday week!! It was being remodeled so there is your warning! But its great so just be happy they are updating it and stay positive!”

“We visited in February and what was a shame was that there was only one person dressed in period clothing for a bit of entertainment... too bad it would have been interesting to hear more about Acadiwn . The penny village was very interesting with the explanatory panels! Small Cajun restaurant on site...but be careful some dishes are very spicy!!? Unfortunately dogs are not accepted, be advised and leave them at home!”

“This hotel is in a great spot of downtown Lafayette. There are great staff members such as Ms. Romona and Mr. Steven. Whomever the lady was at the front counter on the evening of New Years Eve, she was a complete prude. My friends and I have been attending The Juliet for about 4 years now on New Years Eve and have loved it ever since, however with this employee she made us feel as though we shouldn’t have been here and we were an inconvenience. This employee felt as though we were disturbing the peace and even called law enforcement on my friends and I. Once the law enforcement showed up, they came to our room and held a conversation with us. The police realized nothing was wrong and left the room without anything being done. Later during the night, a friend and I had to walk to the car to get everything we needed to stay the night. We got to the front counter and she exclaimed that we needed to use the back door and it would only work unless we had a room key because the front door was locked, she was very rude about it. We got back to the room and everything was fine. It was just the fact that we have never been treated like this by any employee of the Juliet. Towards the end of the night the employee made us feel as though it was a chore for her to be working at the hotel. This woman is clearly upset with something going on in her personal life as takes it out on her customers which is very unprofessional. Ms. Ramona has always showed us nothing but the best of customer service, props to her.Walkability: My friends and I rented a suite at Rock N Bowl across the street.”

“I really enjoyed playing bingo at Johnston Street Bingo! The price is $18, which is very reasonable, and they even offer a kid's pack for 12 bucks. They have computer bingo as well. They also have a consession stand”

“My experience with Ms. Rosa Isadore (Owner) was like interacting with my own Parent. She focused more on our grief and need and didn't focus on our wallet, which didn't have much. She and her Staff went to work and designed a State of The Art Memorial for my Brother that looked like we paid thousands of dollars. Stop spending your money with heartless Funeral Homes and call Ms. Rosa. I promise you she will walk with you, and hold your hand thru it all. Also her Sister Ruby Henderson is a 40 year Florist that can make your Flower dreams come true. We love you Rosa and Staff. And thank you for life.❤️❤️❤️”

“THE PLACE WAS PACKED TO CAPACITY. They only accept cash which is a hassle, but there is an ATM to get cash when you walk in so not really a big deal. Overall experience is great, my only concern is was there crowd control on site with the amount of people that was occupying at the time we arrived which was around 3:30pm on Saturday afternoon. Great family fun spot!”

“The room was no good unfortunately. I thought the cleaning service cleaned these rooms after people checkout. We checked into the room for a one night stay late, and the room was dirty. Trash was still in the cans and no clean towels. We already moved our stuff into the room and it's close to midnight so who wants to change rooms at that point? Just a huge inconvenience. Please do better.”
