The gentleman walked outside inspected the car and a van pulled up and opened the door to bring me to the body shop where my car was. I felt extremely special, like royalty. Very nice staff.”

“Easy, easy, easy, check out and return with this company that I use often. At this location you don't have to pay a deposit it's just your rental fee which is different from the bay area because we all know that almost every location is a minimum of a $200 deposit and I've even paid up to a $300 deposit for just a regular rental. I did do online check in the night before we arrived in New Orleans, which made my pick up super smooth because all I did was show the representative my screen with my check in and he pointed me to a zone that held cars in the category I was renting and he said "pick a car -the keys are inside; show your drivers license at the gate" and it was that easy .”

“Use National whenever possible as they have great cars that are well maintained and the return process couldn't be easier. Deduct one star because we have never been able to get out the front gate with a ridiculously long wait, both with the number of agents working the gate (usually one, with 5-6 cars lined up), and the process that seems to have zero automation in it, even when we are premier customers. I continually fail to understand how we can't hand over a drivers license for validation and get the heck out of there with a pre-checkin online. So I love you National, but please oh please fix your checkout process!”

“The downtown rental car spot is as real as New Orleans. This is not a luxury car rental thing here. This is real New Orleans people renting real New Orleans cars. Go to the big places and hope they didn’t mess up your reservation (which happens to me a lot) or, if you are in New Orleans and can go to the Downtown location you will know what it’s like to live in a place where a local car rental shop still survives. The car was a Corolla with under $100k miles, not 6 month old auction fodder.More of a place for the adventurer than the tourist, amazing resource as a local. Deposits at car rental places are all over the place, this one is on the high side but they have to be.”

“Really great customer service; I showed up, they processed me in and got me in a car in a short amount of time. So overall, pretty good experience. Only a few downsides and it might change your decision. This place is not with the other rental car companies. You have to shuttle to the rental car desk, make a separate phone call, and then someone will pick you up and drive you to Ace another 5-6 minutes away. But also, this place feels very mom and pop. They’re writing things down, filing, paper copies signed and initialed, somewhere there’s a file cabinet with rentals of days past. None of this is problematic, but it helps explain why the cost may be a little less here. Still worth it if you’re willing to go on a little adventure and have some time to spare to wet sign documents.”

“Pick up was simple and the car was nice and clean. They gave me a free upgrade without me having to ask- maybe they were out of smaller cars, but we needed the extra space so we were very happy.The drop off was very simple. I was expecting to see a person and hand over the keys, but there was no one in sight. After reading the signs, I realized I was supposed to note the mileage and drop my paperwork into the drop box.It was easy, but also a little sad that this is their new staffing model.”

“Five stars - great value for the price! We were a little weary booking based on the other Google reviews (and weren't sure when we called at the Airport rental car center and were told there would be a black van picking us up and taking us to an offsite rental counter). However, the customer service was excellent and our rental car had no functional issues like some other reviewers experienced. Yes, the car had higher mileage and some of the buttons were a bit worn, but the interior was very clean. We also had to provide proof of insurance, which we weren't expecting given we had also purchased collision damage. New Orleans is really tough on cars and this business is just trying to make it work. Our off-site shuttle driver was great and we had an excellent experience checking in! We will definitely book with NOLA Rent-a-Car on our next visit and suggest you give them a try too.”

“Our flight was delayed and our original rental place was closed when we arrived. Payless saved the night and the trip. Provided awesome customer service, reasonable prices and fixed a billing error upon return. I will use them again without hesitation.”

“My rental was for a dollar vehicle but i was serviced by Dwaine with Hertz. She was super efficient and extremely understanding. I was 4th in line and i was out in a vehicle on the road in 20 min. Dwaine was the only person working as well”

“In the USA we always used Alamo for more than 15y. Our last experience in Salt Lake City last September was not so great so we decided to look for another company…our choice was AVIS and we were pleased with everything : the car, the personal both when taking the car and the dropp off were top ! “I took a chance and it was great! I took a shuttle (free) from airport to pick up my rental. The receptionist was hard to hear and honestly couldn't understand a word but ehh. I waited for no more than 20 minutes to get my car. The car was clean, spacious and what I had rented. I did have to pay for insurance and deposit (wish I would have known ahead of time). The drop of was super easy just leave car with keys inside and off you go. Everything was super smooth and maybe got lucky.”
