“Very straight forward without much wait. I may have preferred them over the one in the rental car center (with airport shuttle,) since they had more than one rep at a time. We only had to find our way there from the to the airport ourselves which was a little bit of a hassle but no big deal. The rest of everything else was quick and efficient.”

“The downtown rental car spot is as real as New Orleans. This is not a luxury car rental thing here. This is real New Orleans people renting real New Orleans cars. Go to the big places and hope they didn’t mess up your reservation (which happens to me a lot) or, if you are in New Orleans and can go to the Downtown location you will know what it’s like to live in a place where a local car rental shop still survives. The car was a Corolla with under $100k miles, not 6 month old auction fodder.More of a place for the adventurer than the tourist, amazing resource as a local. Deposits at car rental places are all over the place, this one is on the high side but they have to be.”

“I booked a car with Hertz online and when I got to the desk they told me they would not honor my reservation because I booked it same day. I was in tears after a long travel day and when I approached the Budget desk, they immediately jumped into action to help me. The desk agent was so kind, found us a car, and had us on the road within 30 minutes. The car was so nice and clean. I will book with Budget again!”
“No one really wants to pick up their rental car after flying, let’s be honest. It’s rarely an enjoyable experience but I felt the need to write a review because my experience with NOLA Avis @ airport was really above and beyond. The front desk gals were efficient and there were 2 of them ( it’s usually one these days aka super long lines) and MARY, the attendant who helped get your car in the garage was amazing. I told her I was going on a solo road trip and she helped me find a car with low mileage because she didn’t want me to have any issues. I really appreciate her listening to me and hearing me and making sure I got a car that would work best. It’s so refreshing this day and age. Thank you Mary, you made my trip so much better!”
“Was honestly the most professional experience I’ve had with a rental car service.
Very reasonable prices depending upon what type of vehicle you’d like.
I do recommend having a major credit card to ensure you can pay the deposit and avoid using a debit card as that can take longer for refunds. To make it smoother, ensure that your personal auto insurance extends coverage to short term rentals; without that insurance you’ll need to put a $2,500 deposit down.
Reliable transportation to and from the car rental station at the airport, just give them a call when you’re ready for pickup.”

“Devon and the team working the closing shift on 7/18/24 were absolutely exceptional. They stayed over 2 hours after closing to help very frustrated travelers. Even with system outages, and difficulties processing payments, they did everything they could to get customers the vehicles they need! I greatly appreciate all their hard work and efforts getting us our rental.”

“My rental was for a dollar vehicle but i was serviced by Dwaine with Hertz. She was super efficient and extremely understanding. I was 4th in line and i was out in a vehicle on the road in 20 min. Dwaine was the only person working as well”
“I took a chance and it was great! I took a shuttle (free) from airport to pick up my rental. The receptionist was hard to hear and honestly couldn't understand a word but ehh. I waited for no more than 20 minutes to get my car. The car was clean, spacious and what I had rented. I did have to pay for insurance and deposit (wish I would have known ahead of time). The drop of was super easy just leave car with keys inside and off you go. Everything was super smooth and maybe got lucky.”

“I LOVE Alamo and this particular location. I have a student that attends school in NOLA and twice a year I'm flying in. Each time that I've rented my vehicles, I've had the BEST... I mean THE BEST experiences with their vehicles and employees. Two particular employees that I love to see when I arrive are Ms. TaShe and Ms. Charmine. Each time, they give me warm heartfelt NOLA southern hospitality. They both make sure that my vehicle and my experience with ALAMO is superb. Ms. Charmine was the one that when I first rented my car, told me about my perks as a ALAMO reward customer, not the front desk, but Ms. Charmine-the person that is checking you out at the end before you drive off. She made sure to explain the program to me and to make sure that I had had everything I need. TBH-if it wasn't for these two I would venture to other rental places, but because I feel like they know me and they take care of me, I will always come to ALAMO.
ALAMO HR personnel / management- listen up!!! These two ladies make ALAMO a great experience. Please do what you need to do to keep them, because it's people like these two ladies that make people want to come back and spend their money with you.
