“Being from So. Cal area, I was delighted to find out there was a Trader Joe's near my sister's home in Louisiana. While visiting her, I just had to stop in and get the state shopping bags as gifts to take back home to all my Trader Joe's crazy friends back home.”
“My Mother in law is 100% Italian and passed away 8 years ago and made authentic meatballs and red gravy. Someone told us about Canatella’s so I bought red gravy and meatballs to try. When my wife took her 1st bite, tears flowed from her eyes and said OMG! This is Concetta’s meatballs and red gravy! I agreed and we buy weekly meatballs eggplant lasagna and the meatloaf is to die for!”
“I've always enjoyed Sprouts, I made a seafood gumbo, and it cost me $75. It was pricey, but it sure was worth it. They always have fresh clean produce. They are the best place for quality foods and products.”
“20240328 One of the nice employees showed me where the hot sauces are. Unfortunately, they didn't have the double bourbon version I was looking for. Prices were much lower than online directly from the company. I also didn't see the KY Bourbon hard tea that I saw on Google Maps. I got dome root beer instead.”
“I had a wonderful experience at the Hi Nabor store on Winbourne Ave in Baton Rouge. The cashier, Troimesha was so wonderful and caring with two older women in her line. She did not lose her composure when they were not able to use their debit card for their purchase. She waited so patiently for them to try numerous times. Troimesha even spoke to everyone in line prior to her assisting them. I have had so many different positive experiences with the entire staff as well as the store. Thank you Troimesha and the entire management team and staff! Job well done! ??????”

18111 Highland Market Dr, Baton Rouge“Great produce. Talented butcher. Amazing fishmonger. Good selection of gluten free food. Best place to shop to get ingredients for traditional south Louisiana recipes. Excellent selection of fresh flowers and hostess gifts. Wine and spirit are first rate”
“It's one of my favorite stores to shop. My only complaint is the chicken. They need to stop selling it. Every time I buy leg quarters, the chicken smells so bad. Today, I didn't have the energy to return the chicken. I just threw it away. But I still love shopping at this store. It's so clean and the staff is always courteous!”
8AM - 6PM
9414 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge“Y'all, they've been open since the 90s, that's a big deal for a small local business. They have an amazing selection and their super knowledgeable/insightful. Go check these guys out!”
“LET ME tell YOU I LOVE the Genuine energy And Experience I recover everytime ❤️ NOT TOO mention the amazing food! I love the chicken shawarma and the juicy burgers EVERYTHING IS GOOD my favorite store ? NO exaggeration!!!!”

8129 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge“Wonderful selection of products from all over the world! This hidden gem of an international grocery store has me excited to try my hand at some fun new recipes.”
“What a lovely find in Baton Rouge! I was looking for a place to pick up lunch, the muffuletta was delicious! Quaint little deli carved into this family style grocery store. I could have spent hours in this little gem. Make sure you pick up some of the olive salad, labeled with the Calandro's name. The best around.”

6525 Greenwell St, Baton Rouge“Great place we went to this place 4 years ago referred by someone who worked there. We went that evening loved the burgers. Then we couldn't remember where it was until tonight we drove by while taking a friend home definitely STARRED IT ON GOOGLE MAPS THIS TIME!!?”
“Absolutely one of the best Po-Boys in Baton Rouge. My parents have been bringing me here since I was young and they haven’t let me down once in the food or the service. Now that I’m old enough I get general groceries, occasional Po-Boys, and a case of beer for the guys while I’m here and I have never been let down. Totally recommend going to get a Po-Boy at least once here and if you like it you should try to be a regular customer.”
“A cool interesting place to shop. Always clean and neat with fiendly employees. Not as diverse a selection as some other stores, but always seems to have everything that I really need. Great prices and an interesting selection. I highly recommend”
“The butcher counter here is epic and well-stocked, with knowledgeable staff and friendly service. If you don’t see what you want they got it in the back. Really good coffee, convenient hours, gumbo in the afternoon. I go once a week to get great cuts of real soul food ingredients - today I got incredibly flavorful beef “bones” for my roasted bone broth. And they offer package specials like 100lbs of various types of meat for $169 and a “Monday Night Game Grilling Special”. Avoid exorbitant high prices for supermarket-grade cuts at “boutique butchers” by visiting Ancona’s 100%!”
“Great selection but high prices, very clean, and wonderful friendly employees. The discount program helps out too. They are great about give 30 day Rain Checks for Sale Items that are Sold Out.”
“Had to buy an Indian men's outfit for the very next day – and the very pleasant shop owner had a couple in stock for me in my size I got to select from! Really great nook right here in Baton Rouge if you don't wanna fly out to Little India in New Jersey haha!”
“Well stocked, clean. Much larger than you would think. The cashiers are friendly, the hot bar has scrumptious offerings. Prices are surprisingly fair despite being the only place in the area to get household goods and groceries.”
“I grew up with Winn Dixie back in the 70's/80's and I suppose I quit going for some of the same reasons as other people, but boy have I been missing out! I've been shopping exclusively here for over a year now. The best meat and the sales... especially the weekend sales! Also without a doubt the best French bread and sourdough of all the chain grocery bakeries in town. Awesome sales on seafood... The BOGO's, the Southeast Grocers store brands, and the points that rack up. And helpful and friendly staff. I don't see how Aldi's will improve Winn Dixie! My hope is that they just leave it alone after the deal is done.”
“It's my first time in this store. I've heard so much hype about their lower prices. But once I went in a lot of their prices aren't as low as I expected..”
“Think grocery store chicken and deli. Go there with that sort of expectation. I'm talking the first Blue Store level of expectation. Iykyk. With that being said the beans have smoked meat and sausage in them and are seasoned really well. They taste like real beans and not canned. The fried chicken is some of the best. On weekends I don't feel like cooking, we grab a 25 ct and 2 large beans and that usually gets us through Friday & Saturday with enough left to pack for my husband's lunch on Monday. Not bad. 25 wings cost about $26 after tax and 2 large red beans are about $7 total after tax.”
“It was Sunday night, 26NOV2023, and we (my much-better-half & I) wanted a last bite of authentic Cajun cooking’ before beginning our lengthy (motor) vehicle return due West to our home in El PasoTX-USA (“¡Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North America, anchored by El Paso, Cd. Juárez y Las Cruces!”). Sadly, eateries were closed, but I employed my time-honored biketouring strategy of buying emergency food (which can be reheated in a microwave/on a stovetop), and this ALBERTSONS was the perfect food supply! The Thai meal provided the needed protein, accompanied by a veggie tray of cherry tomatoes/carrots/legumes/broccoli/dip.I knew this was the best store—I’ve often shopped for similar “emergency” food in other amazing ALBERTSONS—notably close to my home in Montwood Mall. This great store is my “go to” for nutrition (and “cash back”, if needed), both when home and out on the road. ALBERTSONS definitely has my coveted “¡Wheel of Approval!””
“The coworkers are always so friendly and helpful. They have the best vibe !!! Shoutout to lily in particular. She works in the deli section and her attitude is unmatched . She takes her time to make sure ur meal is the best it can be ! She’s so neat, organized and makes each experience feel so special. When she’s working , I know my paninis are going to be fireee ?”
“Staff are stern, but only when it's necessary. The first time I visited the establishment, I instantly fell in love with the place. The prices are fair. Their fried chicken is better than chain store restaurants, cheaper too.”
“Meat selection, seafood, bakery, produce... Each one is a grade above the other chain stores. Southeast Grocers is definitely the best store brand among the chains as well. The BOGO's and the reward points... Winn Dixie is the only place I shop, for all the above!”
“I've discovered a gem. The breakfast that I received from this place screamed come again. Everything was delicious. I loved the biscuits and pancakes. This is my new go-to place. Step back Waffle House. This place is no hit or miss. It's a hit for me.”
“A good place for Middle Eastern groceries and other items. But the fresh pita bread is unbelievable. After eating their pita, you won't want to eat any other. Have to get there in the morning and it is hot, fresh, soft and delicious.”

890 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge“I really love this Convenience Store! Black Owned and Operated. Nephew is the owner. He is a very respectful, kind young man. Newly opened. They make sure you are satisfied with your shopping experience. If they don't have it, they will get it!! They also have boiled meat's and vegetables on Saturday and Sunday, which is very tasty ? and satisfying! You receive alot of food for a inexpensive price. It's great seeing our young black men become entrepreneurs, and owning business!!! Thank you nephew and uncle for always making me feel comfortable coming to support #BLACKOWNEDBusinesses. I WISH YOU GUYS GREAT SUCCESS!!!!!!”
“Jerry Lee's, an institution in these parts. First of all, some of the nicest people work here, never heard a complaint or cross word from anyone working there. Always eager to help and help you with your decisions (trust me, if you don't have help you are going to walk out of there and need an additional fridge to store everything in that you see.) Great selection of some delicious foods. It goes without saying the boudin is top 5 in the state. They even have cast iron Dutch ovens! I could and have spent hundreds of dollars in one trip. Just a good old fashioned place with great people and food.”
