While letting my empanadas cool I turned my back for five seconds and turned around to an empty plate. “Odd…” I thought, as I was the only one home at the time. And then I heard it, the sound of my dog scarfing down steaming hot empanadas! I called my dog a lot of names this day, with words I typically try not to use… in English and Spanish! Once the dog had cleared the crime scene I looked at what was left and tried to remember the specifics of the 5 second rule and its subsection on dog slobber. Ultimately I determined the entirety of my meal a loss. But they’re good enough I seriously considered it!

401 Greenup St #2, CovingtonThis is the best Cuban sandwich I have had outside of Miami. The sweet plantain fries were delicious. The staff was very friendly and our food was ready fairly quickly. The owner spent time to talk with us and thank us for the business. I would highly recommend El Jeff's Cubanos to anyone looking for the best Cuban sandwich in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area to stop and vist. Get there early if it is Saturday or Sunday and Fooyball is on.
