“We've been living here for almost a year and I can say that I've enjoyed Jefferson on the Lake very much. The ladies in the office are always so nice and professional, they've answered dozens of my inquiries knowledgeably and without hesitation. There are a lot of dumpsters, and they are all emptied on time, every time, which is commendable. There is a lovely lake where you may enjoy fishing or just unwind and watch the sunset. It's also conveniently close to big shopping areas and restaurants. I love my apartment, and the area!”

“These apartments are in a great location, within walking distance to the Lenexa City Center. They are also nearby a trail that hooks up to Shawnee Mission Park. In my experience, maintenance and staff were always helpful and responsive. The apartments were in decent shape as well. My move out experience was fair and I didn’t get charged random or absurd move out fees. Overall a great place to live!”

“Honeslty these were decent apartments. They were too expensive for what they were, especially the price they wanted to raise our rent to when the lease was up. Nothing fancy but the neighbors are nice enough and the location was good. The best thing about this place is they actually give you your deposit back when you move out which never happens anymore with these big rental companies. Parking is pretty bad for certain buildings and it seemed like someone was always leaf blowing outside which was annoying. Overall though I liked living here.”

“Staff is very accommodating, our original move in date was the day before I was due with my baby. After talking with them, they were able to move us in a bit earlier. We are so thankful to them as we got everything put together just in time.There are a few things here and there that just come with living in an older complex, and a few things in the units could stand to be updated, but the community is nice, all of our favorite places can be reached just by taking 91st street, our neighbors are almost all friendly and I also really appreciate that our townhome is fairly soundproofed. Much better than our old complex where I could hear almost everything from our neighbors.Also really enjoy all of the storage the townhome comes with, hall closets on each floor, his and her closets in the main bedroom, plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen and bathrooms plus a basement.”

“I am very impressed by the staff here at the Highlands. I’ve had very pleasant experiences handling anything I need taken care of. To the extent, of making sure my child was safe after walking home from school.The entire staff in the office, the entire maintenance team. (I’m terrible with names) but every single one of them have had to help me at some point in my time living at the property. You don’t get this type of help, respect and loyalty to customers at just any place you live. These people care, they learn your names, they remember things about you. Things that none of them have to do. I’m very impressed by the entire staff at this property. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for not only beautiful apartments, and great amenities. But for the strive these people have to continue to build a good workspace. You don’t just have a good work environment, it is built.Some of the greatest people I have met, are employed at the highlands!Very grateful to have lived here, but once I move it might not be so great… now I hold a standard. Lol.”

“We just moved in and we love the place! You could never find an apartment this big for the price, and the staff here is so helpful! We had contractor delays so not everything was 100% ready. The manager of the property apologized to us and credited our account a decent amount to make it right for us. The entire staff, maintenance and the office ladies are so friendly and helpful. I could tell they really cared about the issues we were having and did all they could to make it right for us. The property has a ton of great amenities that we have already started to use! Great place to live run by great people!”

“I lived at The Sovereign for over 5 years and really enjoyed it. Mike, in maintenance, was so helpful. Requests were completed by next day. I hated to leave but I could no longer handle the stairs because of my back. I couldn't afford the first floor because the apartments were being renovated. Kyle was the previous manager and always reachable. New management, not so much. It is well maintained and the garages are a plus.”

Manager Adriana .. she is awesome, every time I have called with an issue, she has responded !! Again .. The best Team in 8 years...”
“My 90 yr old neighbor here in Santa Barbara got scammed by a handyman she hired on facebook to clear out the overgrown "forest" in her backyard. He got half the job done, insisted she write him a $200 check (which she reluctantly did), and promised both her and I that he'd be back the next Saturday to finish the job. But he was a no-call/no-show.I notified Santa Barbara management what happened, and they sent out all four of their maintenance men (just now), and they cut down the rest of the forest in her backyard, cleared out all the vines and roots, then sprayed her back yard with a chemical to kill off the remaining weeds/roots. In addition, they ALSO mowed and trimmed her entire yard and overgrown bushes! They did all if this FOR FREE. NO CHARGE TO HER. Because they knew she was a victim of a scamSanta Barbara may cost a few buck more than those ghetto drug/violence filled "trailer parks", but you will not regret paying a few bucks more to live in this community. It's quiet, peaceful; neighbors ALL know and help each other.”
