“Honeslty these were decent apartments. They were too expensive for what they were, especially the price they wanted to raise our rent to when the lease was up. Nothing fancy but the neighbors are nice enough and the location was good. The best thing about this place is they actually give you your deposit back when you move out which never happens anymore with these big rental companies. Parking is pretty bad for certain buildings and it seemed like someone was always leaf blowing outside which was annoying. Overall though I liked living here.”

“I wish I could give this place 10 stars. 5 just doesn't seem sufficient. Not a single complaint or unkind thing I could say about this place. Been here 7 and a half years and I've never felt so at home in an apartment complex. The staff here is beyond incredible and if you pay attention you can tell how hard the veteran staff here has worked to uphold the high standards they must keep to make this place as safe and wonderful as it needs to be. Cindy and Julia have been an amazing support to me and my girls and treat us like family. They have rooted for and supported me through so many ups and downs and been a huge support during major hardships in our lives. I've met so many warm and welcoming neighbors who became friends and appreciate how hard the maintenance team and staff works to provide a safe living experience for everyone here. (Here's looking at you, Sawyer!) If you have an opportunity to make this place your home PLEASE don't pass it up. I promise you won't regret it.”

“Staff is very accommodating, our original move in date was the day before I was due with my baby. After talking with them, they were able to move us in a bit earlier. We are so thankful to them as we got everything put together just in time.There are a few things here and there that just come with living in an older complex, and a few things in the units could stand to be updated, but the community is nice, all of our favorite places can be reached just by taking 91st street, our neighbors are almost all friendly and I also really appreciate that our townhome is fairly soundproofed. Much better than our old complex where I could hear almost everything from our neighbors.Also really enjoy all of the storage the townhome comes with, hall closets on each floor, his and her closets in the main bedroom, plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen and bathrooms plus a basement.”

“This is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had!! The staff that work here are incredible!! The manager Mickey was so helpful before I arrived(flew in from Virginia). Whatever I needed she was on it and had such a great attitude and smile the whole time! Hazel is another lady that works there and she is so friendly and funny. One of the maintenance guys, I can’t remember his name but he’s on day shift and would take the trash out for me because it was so cold outside. The housekeeper(Caucasian lady, I don’t know her name)was incredibly kind and did her job with such a grateful, wonderful attitude. Most people that work in housekeeping are rude, don’t speak, and you can tell on their face that they hate their job, but not this lady! She was amazing and I wish I had the power to give her a raise!! Shoot! Everyone I mentioned deserves a bonus and a raise for doing such an extraordinary job with limited staff! This will be the only place I stay at when I come to Kansas!!!Nearby activities: Restaurants! Walmart!Safety: Completely safe!”

“This is a new complex, app 8-9 years old. I was living at an apt 35+ years old. There is NO comparison between them! The appliances are pristine, saltwater swimming pool, great workout room, laminate living room floors which I love instead of carpet. I set trash outside my door which is picked up 4 times a week. Fetch delivers my packages to my door. I feel very safe and use a fob to get in my building, which is an extra safety measure. My maintenance requests are resolved in a timely manner. They change my lightbulbs, I would have a hard time because I would need a ladder with the tall ceilings. It's a homey community and has community events every month, such as this month of Dec a "Hot Cocoa Bar" & "Breakfast on the Go." It has a walking trail with trees, I've seen deer by the stream where I park my car. Residents are entertained watching a bald eagle family, you will often see people taking pics or looking at them with binoculars. Many residents have dogs which are very well mannered and the residents pick up after them. They provide an app called "Dwelo" which is on my iPhone and allows me to turn on and off my hear/air conditioning, lights, door even when I'm not at home.Luv this place.”

“I am very impressed by the staff here at the Highlands. I’ve had very pleasant experiences handling anything I need taken care of. To the extent, of making sure my child was safe after walking home from school.The entire staff in the office, the entire maintenance team. (I’m terrible with names) but every single one of them have had to help me at some point in my time living at the property. You don’t get this type of help, respect and loyalty to customers at just any place you live. These people care, they learn your names, they remember things about you. Things that none of them have to do. I’m very impressed by the entire staff at this property. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for not only beautiful apartments, and great amenities. But for the strive these people have to continue to build a good workspace. You don’t just have a good work environment, it is built.Some of the greatest people I have met, are employed at the highlands!Very grateful to have lived here, but once I move it might not be so great… now I hold a standard. Lol.”

“I lived at The Sovereign for over 5 years and really enjoyed it. Mike, in maintenance, was so helpful. Requests were completed by next day. I hated to leave but I could no longer handle the stairs because of my back. I couldn't afford the first floor because the apartments were being renovated. Kyle was the previous manager and always reachable. New management, not so much. It is well maintained and the garages are a plus.”

“This is such a beautiful apartment complex, and there’s so much to do in the area. The place is well-maintained and our neighbors have been so nice as well. I feel like my roommate and I got so lucky to be in such a nice area, we couldn’t ask for anything more.”
