“I have purchased many goodies from this adorable shop for myself (decor or paper goods), my kiddos (puzzles and other little cute things) and for gifts as well. The staff were very friendly and conversational during my visit. They also knew a lot about the products and made recommendations/told me about local items. I would highly recommend a visit for anyone searching for really fun and unique gifts for anyone on their list!”
“As a contractor I have mixed feelings about this store. The selection is pretty impressive considering everything they have on display is in stock. If you are looking for tile or flooring for a project, they probably will have something you like and if so, you won't have to order it, just load it up and check out. My pet peeve is the pricing. Same cost for contractors as everyone else, even Lowe's and Home Depot give me better pricing as a contractor. Also the sundries like mortar, Schleuter, grout, tile backer, and everything else you need to install your floors/tile is overpriced between 15 and 50 percent. On just one bathroom we did that was equivalent to about $1500 dollars. I realize they have price matching, but for a contractor that means I have to get a quote from Kate Lo because they don't advertise pricing, then return to Floor and Decor to get it matched. At that point it makes more sense to just buy it where you got the quote.”

“Something for everyone! Home decor, kitchen gifts, kids books and toys and clothes for women (in extended sizes!?), children and men. Great selection of men’s gifts and apothecary which is hard to find in Valley Junction. A must stop shop when supporting local retail is Des Moines.”

“A very large Hobby Lobby. It's laid out like the rest of them so it's easy to find what you want. They had a nice large yarn section but no exotic fibers or even wool.
Prices are reasonable and I found everything I wanted and more.”

“As a man moving to the Des Moine area, I was in need of high-quality furniture and accessories for my new home. That included artwork and window treatments. I visited many furniture stores but got hooked on Ethan Allen for their service, hospitality and made to order products. It took about three visits to finalize my order but when it arrived, with my designer meeting me at my new home, I was completely thrilled with the final outcome. Since the quality is high, I don't know when I will be back since I expect it to last a long-time; however, I recommend Ethen Allen to anyone who wants to make an impression on his or her guests.”

Terrific vibe within the store from the moment we stepped in, and staff member Jill was not only kind and friendly, but also very helpful as we browsed. Who knew getting Peepers & a card could be so enjoyable? Definitely returning, as they have a fun place.”

“Such a cute little shop! (I shouldn’t say little, but it’s actually pretty big!) It is so hard to find GOOD quality boutique clothing anymore. Everywhere else has the same old thin, cropped, cheap, boring, Amazon/Temu style clothing. Found so many cute things! Such a variety of different styles of clothing as well. And everything is displayed so beautifully! Will definitely be back when I’m in the Valley Junction area!”
“This is the place to go for obscure foods, teas, coffee, chocolates, alcohol, all at reasonable prices. Upscale kitchen wares and home decor make this a place the wife will live and there is plenty to look at to keep the husband occupied, for a bit, anyway.”
