“This couple of owners are great. She is Chinese and he is Korean, so the options there align. They are willing to help you find things and order stuff for you. They have Kimchi that they get frequently from Chicago that is really Korean kimchi. The selection for a small store is good and they have back stock coolers and freezers so if something is out ask they may have more. But of the owners have great English, so communication is easy if you don't speak Korean or Mandarin, but they also both love it if you practice with them.”
“Best bagel place around! Workers are so polite, bagels are made fresh, and the coffee is wonderful as well! The cafe area is always clean and there is many places to sit.”

8400 Douglas Ave, Urbandale“Clean friendly employees most if the time its pretty stocked. I prefer to have an employee check me out then use self check as it takes away from someone needing a job so no to self check out!!!”
“This place has been in present location since I was a child. Thru all the years, it was always just another "gas station" where I visited on family shopping trips to Merle Hay Mall area. When we stopped for gas yesterday I wasn't expecting what I encountered...this place has totally changed! I was impressed beyond expression! It's a smaller station but it was set up flawlessly for convenience and cleanliness was a top priority for the friendly staff!! 5 stars!”

3828 100th St, Urbandale“One of the best grocery shops in the area for desi indian/pakistani products. They have a large variety of products and it is highly unlikely that you won’t find what you’re looking for here. They have basic utensils as well as fresh vegetables in the store. There is also a good restaurant inside which particularly has very good snacks including samosas, samosa chat, pakora, spring rolls, and paneer pakora. Their staff is also very courteous.”
“Amazing Balkan store! very close to my houseand also Me and my Dad are Friends with TheVery Nice Owners since we do speak TheSame Language and we can understandeach other and also a pretty nice selectionof foods and Meats, etc.”
“Straight out of Iowa and this is opened 7 days a week. Has a Wahlburgers inside as well. Love that they call soda "pop." Well spread out and has all that one needs.”

4651 86th St, Urbandale“The employees are always nice, but sometimes the store is not neat. I know they only have a few employees, and when the truck comes, putting things away is hard to do when they're busy, but there isn't a lot of room to move on truck days. Item availability is less of an issue now, but was a big problem recently”
7AM - 10PM
11148 Plum Dr, Urbandale“This Super Target is the closest to me as I live in Grimes. I have shopped here weekly since I moved to the area in December 2021 and became a Shipt Shopper in early 2023. I really like the Good & Gather, Market Pantry, Favorite Day, and Goodfellow brands. The grocery section is always well stocked and the team members (Austen, Devon, and David) are extremely helpful in finding items for me when I need them. Theresa, Candy, and Renea are usually in the self checkout lane on Fridays and Saturdays when I'm doing orders and are quick to audit my carts and get me on the way so I can deliver orders early/on time to customers. Self checkout lines can get very long but they've done a better job of hiring cashiers. Update at end of October 2023 - Self checkout has a sign up that says 10 items or less to help with long lines.”
“A helpful smile in every aisle. That's how the jingle goes. Oh how I miss hearing those ads. Over the last 20 years Hy Vee has really stepped up their game. Once just the corner grocery store is now a huge chain of groceries and more. This particular location has a bank and Starbucks just inside the front doors. On week days 7 to 9 am they offer a drive up donut stand near the front door. Also in the parking lot as spring approaches is their full garden center, and year round gas station. Inside besides aisles and aisles of grocery items are small to go spots. Fresh made sushi. Chinese food. Bakery. Hickory House Comfort food. Floral department. Mia Pizza. New York Style deli. Pharmacy. DSW shoes. And and small clothing shop. A stop once and shop for every thing store. I miss this Midwest chain. Open from 5 am to midnight 7 days a week.”
“I always go to Fareway for my meat. The gentlemen behind the counter are welcoming, greet you with a smile and make sure you’re taken care of. Produce has a nice selection, however canned goods are a bit more expensive than Walmart. I’d rather spend my money at my local Fareway.”
