“This is a neat market with many foods & items from all over Asia. I found ingredients that I haven't found at other Asian markets, and the staff are very friendly & helpful. It's worth a visit if you like cooking Asian cuisine or want to try something new. Parking is limited, on the street, and metered. We had to park a block away, but it was worth the walk!”

“I know that Aldi's isn't everyone's cuppa tea, but why? I get that there are few name brands and there are less choices than other grocers but prices are reasonable, people are friendly and it's not the size of a football field. Stop being a shopping snob and save some coin on really decent groceries.”

“I used to do a lot of my shopping here up until 2019, when I moved out of state. I’ve just moved back and I think it may have gotten a bit of a facelift since I was last in, because it looks a lot nicer than I remember! Maybe I’m just remembering it being smaller, somehow.Parking lot is still chaotic, as is navigating the store (it’s always busy and the aisles are small), and some product availability has shifted. There are noticeably fewer japanese staples (no mirin?) outside of the frozen aisle/rice. It’s still a hefty selection, compared to anywhere else in the state.Snacks and drinks are always at a markup, which makes sense. On the other hand, the produce section is varied, as fresh as possible, and CHEAP. Far cheaper than what you will find in any of the chained grocery stores in town. I used to go here for all of my mushrooms and root vegetables, and I’m so glad to see that this hasn’t changed. Their leafy greens have always looked good, and that hasn’t changed either. The prices of their dried goods is great, and the variety of soup bases and stocks is almost dizzying. They’re also the only place in town that I know of that sells frozen char siu bao, which is an immediate 5/5 on principle.I still haven’t tried the pho at the attached restaurant, but will one day! Thanks again C-Fresh, it’s nice to see you again!”

“The selection here can be limited. But I get a week's worth of groceries from the money I'd spend to get only a few days' worth at hyvee. No competition.”

“Can't believe I didn't try this spot sooner. The steak street tacos are amazing. The Birria is perfect with just the right ammount of spicy. This is my new spot for a quick and easy lunch. I think I'm gonna have to get some tamales soon for dinner!.”

“I really love the Balkan and Eastern European offerings here! The owners are extremely kind and welcoming! They're always ready and able to direct me to whatever grocery item I'm in search of. I grew up with Bosnian friends so I will typically come here to find something I miss eating at their house! The store is small but I feel like they offer a wide variety of things. Very, clean, immaculate store! I am so glad we have this in Des Moines.”

“Great pharmacy and grocery store... Has a vast variety of items and really great selection. Friendly staff and great fresh food. Fruit always seems fresh and well looked after. Shelves are always clean and well stocked. Hyvee wine and spirits is attached and easy interior access. Highly recommend this store.”

“I love shopping here. They have some items and ingredients always in stock that aren’t always easy to find. Unique snacks. Lots of harder to find produce. Any kind of noodle you can think of. Cheap home products such as dishes and pans. And some just plain strange products for any store to have around here. I like to just go and browse honestly.A lot of reviewers complain about a smell but I’ve never been bothered by it. Is it as clean as a big chain store? Well… no … but I still really enjoy coming here. And it’s always busy.”

“I just rode with a guy that picks up tires and disposes of them for Sahoma. I've never actually had any work done over there but I can say that they are really nice people and I would definitely give them a shot at looking at my vehicle sometime if I need them in the future. After I left the shop part of it I went up front to the store cuz I had the worst headache and the guy at the register gave me some Tylenol that helped make it tolerable till I could get some more in my system. Nice guy up front as well. I'd give 5 star and definitely will change my rating after I have some work done on my car.”

“Yesterday I went shopping in the morning, a cashier helped me with hairy hair, the lady wanted to charge me more apart from that, she has no way to attend to her. I started to tell her that she was carrying so much because she was charging me so much and she said that's what she wants to carry or not, very rude, I'm not coming back. return”
