“To correct a couple of things: Opportunity House thrift shop is open Monday-Sat 10am to 3pm, and it does take credit cards! Items not accepted are furniture, appliances, and electronics with screens (and bed pillows and other items no resale shop will take). Opportunity House is a local non-profit that helps support Monroe County United Ministries, a low cost quality nursery school, food pantry and cleaning/hygiene supplies. Opportunity House has great finds because donations come people who know Opp House's mission of keeping prices low to serve the low income community as well supporting MCUM. I'm one of the fifty dedicated volunteers!”

“Solid antiquing walking distance from IU's campus. I found some cool pewter D and D minis. There are a ton of records and vintage clothes as well as too much other stuff to list. The comic book selection was not good at all though.”

“Beautiful shop filled with hand painted furniture like hutches and dressers. I found these beautiful lamps that complimented my bedroom decor. They also have nice fall candles, soaps and lotions.”

“This small but well stocked shop takes pride in its great selection, fair prices, helpful staff & cleanliness. Super sales every week also. They give any student a discount too. You could set up your entire kitchen shopping here. Second Saturdays it’s 50% off all clothing for seniors. Shop at the shop!”

“It's like a goodwill for diy home repairs! They have a punch-card rewards program, and if you're up for the hunt, some great bargains may be in your future! It wasn't as organized as their picture online but we still found some great renovation supplies! They had everything from paint, to furniture, to Christmas decorations, ceiling fans, lumber, trim, tools, door knobs, and toilets. This should be your first stop in the search for hardware, fixtures, flooring, and anything else you can diy for your home! Being a college town, they also had tons of small dressers, end tables, bedframes and bedroom sets, office chairs, and storage options. Definitely a win!”

“I think for a thrift store, some of their items are priced high. Some of their household items are higher than the Goodwill. Clothes are a great buy though! This is close to my work, so I often make donations and shop during my lunch. It is so much fun to look for treasures.”

“Don't get a chance to go here very often. ..Will tell the community this..Purchased a refrigerator about 2 yrs ago for 275 bucks..It's absolutely the best ..Food and drinks stay good and cool..Freezer has not done anything but freeze food..Yes I gave it the courtesy wipe down with sanitizer..Other than that it's been great..I would definitely get a major appliance here ...Yes they provide a 30 day grace incase...I don't think you will need it..I was assured they test major appliance before sale..They told the truth”
