“If you are looking for an apartment in Bloomington, check out Eastbay and ask for Shannon. Last year I was looking for a new apartment and Shannon worked to show me the apartment the day before Thanksgiving. After moving in, I had a few issues that Shannon got taken care of quickly. When it came time to renew this year, Shannon worked quickly to get everything in order.”

“Me and my partner lived at the Abodes Ulysses property for about a year and a half and found this to be an amazing first apartment for us. We had a pretty small apartment, but for the 2 of us it was perfect! The staff was great and always responded very quickly, and maintenance was quick to address any problems. Overall, a great first apartment.”

“I visit my Aunt at Evergreen Village quite often. And ever since my first visit I have liked this place. Very clean, well managed. Great friendly, staff everything first class. I can't express enough how well they treat and take care of my Aunt. She likes living there and likes the Administrator and all of his Staff. Loves her Nurse Alicia and all the other staff members as well.. always different activities for the residents, field trips, etc ..and the facility being Pet friendly is so so AWESOME for the residents. Gives some of them needed responsibilities and something to love and something that will love them back.. Win Win situation. 5 Star Facility all the way! Thanks Evergreen for doing what you do!”

“Darryl went above and beyond to get my a/c fixed…at least for now. Through no fault of his the age of the unit must be causing Freon leaks. Last summer it needed recharged and was completely empty when he checked it. You’d better take care of him as he provides excellent customer service. Thanks.”

“I've lived in multiple properties in The Fields and the overall quality has been consistently great. Both the three and two bedrooms apartments are spacious and cozy. All of the service requests that we'd sent for any maintenance work that needed to be done on the house were promptly taken care of. The sales agents at the office, particularly Dru Deno, have been very helpful with everything. They're very easy to talk to, and any issue or confusion we've ever had was sorted out without complications.”

“Great apartment, bad WiFi. Apartment is great, roomy, central heating, furnished, kitchen appliances besides a toaster, washer and dryer in the apartment and the other amenities like the fitness center and pool are good.Only downsides are the WiFi and stability of power. The WiFi speed is fine but some days especially on weekends you can't even connect so it's probably due to too many users at once. The power issues are related to storms, two electrical storms took place during my stay, both times I lost power and the second time my laptop was nearly fried so I immediately got a surge protector power strip.Final verdict is it's great if you need a place to stay while enjoy the town, if you need stable internet consider other options.”

“I lived here for 3 years and it was exceptional. The neighborhood is really pretty and the apartments are great. I loved the amount of natural light, open floor plan, built-in desk and built-in bathroom shelves in my apartment. I lived in a Villa and liked that it opened up to outside instead of being 1 big complex. The vaulted ceiling made it feel very spacious. Never had any trouble from neighbors. Maintenance is very fast -- I could submit a request at midnight and they would be here at 9 AM the next morning. They leave a note detailing what happened which is much appreciated. Staff was always very helpful when I'd ask questions. It is a 5 minute walk from the Kroger which is really convenient. The 3 and the 9 come here regularly so I was in shape transportation-wise. Lots of parking. I took over the lease from someone who also lived there for 3 years before me, so there was no maintenance inspection in between me and her (for 6 years total), so on the way out I was worried they might take my deposit but I got the whole thing back!”

“I recently lived at Woodbridge Apartments during my stay in Bloomington. I had a few maintenance issues at the beginning of my stay that they immediately tended to. Everyone in the leasing office was great and even helped me bring packages into my apartment when I was away at work. It was very peaceful, quiet, and my view of the woods was beautiful. I already miss my little apartment and would have stayed if I could!!”

“The management truly cares and DOESN’T try to take advantage of residents (very rare in Bloomington). Had 1 maintenance issue and they responded immediately & it was taken care of pretty quickly. Move-in was easy and it is clear that they are a quality and experienced company. Have had no issues with neighbors or loud sounds. If the small size & low price are what you are looking for, I recommend Scholars Rock.”

“Hi I lived in Scholars Quad for a year. As I had graduated early, I left before my leases ended. Due to some miscommunication with my existing roommate and some repairs I was not able to get my security deposit back. Laurie Scheffel helped me out. She ensured that I got my deposit back after making justified deductions. Even though I had moved to a new city she went out of the way to contact me and sent me my check. I truly appreciate her help. Also, if people are so committed to you even after your lease has ended and you have moved cities then you can imagine how committed they will be to you while living in the apartment. Beautiful neighborhood and great place to live.”

“Have lived in Allen Court for two years now and have had nothing but an excellent experience with CS Property’s service. Maintenance is quick to resolve any issues, office staff is helpful through subleasing and providing appropriate heads-up over parking issues and apartment showings. They keep the grass well trimmed and even installed a dusk to dawn when I asked so that our doorway would be safer for my sister to enter and exit. Their rental prices are the most reasonable in downtown and our apartment was recently renovated. As a graduate student I would definitely rent a third year if I were staying in Bloomington after graduation. They get a lot of negative reviews from undergrads, and I find it hard to believe all these complaints to be warranted. Regardless, this graduate student highly recommends them.”

“My twin sons just moved into The Avenue this past August and I have been VERY impressed with their staff and the importance they place on customer service! Specifically, Jared and Olivia have been extremely helpful both over the phone and in person. I’m very glad my boys are staying somewhere so great, I am one happy mommy!!”

“Our son is in his first year living in EVOLVE. Great floor plan and he was lucky enough to get a view of Memorial Stadium. Common areas and amenities are great. There have been some maintenance concerns (slow kitchen drain, broken gym equipment), but most issues (like a replacement microwave) have been completed very timely.”

“The customer service is amazing here! The office staff is friendly and answers emails in a timely manner. Had few issues with the apartments themselves so far and any issues I've had have been fixed very quickly!”

“ok, after reading the reviews I was terrified to live here so hopefully I can help someone else out.honestly the village has been a great place to live. When we moved in it was disgusting so be prepared to bring a lot of lysol & cleaning supplies. I suggest bringing your own desk chair bc I think I would’ve broke mine. you should also note the rooms are not the same size - maybe in the sense of dimensions, but some rooms have a bigger closet/smaller room vice versa so just know that. (I got the biggest room so I had no problems lol) DO THE MOVE IN INSPECTION & TAKE PHOTOS OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I CAN NOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH. DO NOT GET CHARGED FOR SOMETHING YOU DID NOT BREAK. Our microwave vent was broken & our dishwasher used to leak, but they literally brought us a brand new microwave & fixed the dishwasher. honestly love the maintenance staff. treat them like human beings & say thank you, it will go along way for both of you. i will say we put in a few requests to fix our tv & it still doesn’t work (but I never watch tv so again idc). I’ve never had a problem with noise complaints or finding a parking spot, but it could also be my location. I’ve never had a package stolen (highly suggest buying a cheap camera tho) locations not the best, but the village always feels safe & the bus is great & almost always runs on time. (they use to have a shuttle which is what the other reviews are talking abt). The gym is fine, but nothing special. Our electricity bill is normally around $40, but I would budget for $100 - $150 for the hotter/colder months (could also be that low bc we can’t watch tv lol). If I wasn’t leaving bloom next year I would absolutely resign with the village. Overall, you get what you pay for, but I honestly have had no problems living here. (I’ll update this review after I move out & see if I get charged for a bunch of stuff tho)I know that was crazy long, but it’s def what I wanted to know before I signed a lease. good luck & plz don’t pay $1600 for an apartment. we’re in bloomington, indiana.”

“From my experience renting with Elkins, it has been an amazing and seamless experience. The office staff are always willing to help out and assist with issues in a fast manner. When we first arrived in the house there were a few maintenance request that had to be completed and they came instantly to complete them (less than 24 hours). When we arrived in our house everything was clean, appliances all worked, and the house was in great condition. Due to our experience with Elkins and our love for the property, we have all resigned the lease for the next school year. Looking forward to another year with an amazing property rental company!”

“Overall, I like Reserve on Third. First, the pros:It's hard to beat the price in Bloomington. I have a spacious, furnished, attractive living space with central air and a dishwasher for under $600 including all utilities. Plus, we have three private bathrooms, a gym, pool, and shuttle service to campus. My apartment was a bit dirty at move-in, but everything was functional and it was pretty much identical to the model unit. My building is super quiet and I am never kept up by noisy neighbors. The few things that have broken in my apartment have been addressed promptly, even though they weren't major issues (icemaker, lights, washing machine, etc.) Maintenance has been great in my experience. The shuttle is a full-sized bus. Every other student living apartment complex in Bloomington (except Village at Mueller Park, who has the same parent company as Reserve) operates minibuses which become incredibly crowded and sometimes even turn residents away at times. I've never had difficulty finding a seat on Reserve's shuttle (when it's running, more details to follow.)The location is peaceful, well-maintained, and close to shopping. It's a bit far from campus, but anything closer to campus would be trashed, unfurnished, vastly more expensive, lacking amenities, or most likely a combination of all of the above. Between Reserve's shuttle and Bloomington Transit, transportation to campus isn't an issue once you get the hang of it. For any other destinations, you'll need a car. Here are the cons:The shuttle has become basically useless for my roommates and I and shows no signs of improvement for next year. The shuttle is great when it is running, but it frequently is out of service for days. Reserve sent a very disingenuous email about how they were "making service more reliable" by "partnering with Bloomington Transit" and ending daily shuttle service at 3:00 PM. Really? The only thing I can rely on is that the shuttle won't be there when I get out of class. And "partnering with Bloomington Transit" really means "you'll have to take the bus." I think they just don't want to pay for two drivers as they used to. The shuttle service is the only reason why living so far from campus is viable for Reserve's residents, and they need to start treating it as such.Because of quarterly inspections, pest control, fire inspections, and other maintenance issues, you can expect staff to enter your apartment at least once a month. They aren't super intrusive, but it can be annoying.Be very, very careful with your inspection report at move-in. I thought I was, but I failed to note the condition of the blinds and was charged $40 as a result. It has been well over 5 months since I was charged and the blinds have yet to be replaced.Despite these cons, I would recommend Reserve simply because you can't beat the value for money. If you expect a few maintenance issues and plan on using Bloomington Transit buses to get to class, you won't be disappointed.”

“After moving in in October I feel the precious reviews poorly reflect how the actual experience is.The amenities are great, 24/7 gym access (it's kept clean, but you also should clean up after yourself), dog park, etc. most recently they added valet trash service.I've had a great experience with the leasing office and an okayish experience with maintenance. My bathroom outlet has been broken since I moved (Oct) in and has sense been deemed that they need to hire an electrician, one that I have not seen.Even with not being able to use a bathroom outlet, I would still highly recommend this property. Edit: fixed in Jan”

“I was skeptical at first to leave a good review during my first good interaction with the management but as time progressed I noticed that they really came through every time. Maintenance is quick. They answer the phone and email quickly and are just nice people in general. I know it’s hard to trust these companies but I’ve had several instances that proved to me that they are responsible and they listen ESPECIALLY in comparison to other places like Grant. I had problems with my sub-letter and they were always responsive and answered quickly. When I moved back in, they immediately changed the code for me even though they had to stay after closing. They never sounded rude, always answer their emails, and always listen and act on any concerns you have. With the amount of interaction I’ve had, I’m confident they are a good company to rent from.I find it weird their ratings aren’t higher on here!Highly recommend!!!!”
