I found the store interesting … it was clean and very well Wow staffed with very helpful young employees. The store had a lovely smell. In fact, the smell throughout the store was a candle that is their signature scent, and I purchased several of them ?I would go back again. It was a very nice little affordable shopping experience.”
“There's not a great selection of known brands but it's not as expensive. I stopped for vanilla ice cream and had to settle for butter pecan. It was not well stocked with popular items. I did find items that I didn't need just to try them.Its perfect for grabbing a few staples. Except to pay standard prices for name brands you know and can find. If the food is like that at Ruler, then I'll be back ?”
“This store is pretty decent for its location. They are usually stocked up for the most part, they a small produce section which is nice, and the employees are working, helpful, and not rude from what I can see basing off the few times I have been in there. Hopefully I can keep this same opinion going forward!”

“It was around 4 p.m. and the store was very busy and only had 2 Lanes open so I politely went to one of the cashier and said You need another lane open. She called for help and 2 more lanes opened up and we was out of there in 5 min...Everyone thanked me of course cause they cleared the crowd out real fast after the all 4 lanes was opened...They prices r very reasonable too...So check them out tell them Joy sent u:)”
“its a shame you cant buy ANYTHING for a dollar anymore, everything seems to be 1.25 now, however there is frequently items in a clearance section which are .50 cents and otherwise its great for simple errands and snack runs if you do not care for on brand items while you shop (my favorite snacks would be the Arizona tea and some crackers, never fails!)”
“A real dollar store. Everything is a dollar or less. Good selection and everything is well organized. Lots of cheap stuff but plenty of quality items too. Gift bags, poster board,cheater glasses, seasonal items...”
“Old Time Pottery is a kind of "hidden jewel" here...I often forget it's there because it sits back a ways.It's a great store, with an enormous variety of merchandise, priced competitively. They have really great sales as well. I buy a lot of gifts there, and get some great ideas for future gifts. Birthday, baby shower, wedding, house warming...whatever the occasion, they've got you covered, with charming, helpful associates.”

“This is my first and only time visiting this store but I am immensely impressed. I am rethinking my entire life after visiting this store. There is an employee here a young white guy with shoulder length hair who is an amazing human being. He is the most attentive, dedicated, friendly, polite, respectful individual that I have encountered in a long time. He genuinely seems to care about other humans, he seems to appreciate having this job, he is so helpful and friendly. It's really great to see in a time like this. He needs to be a manager. The way he looks out for all of the customers and pays attention to the entire store and has a great rapport with the other employees really qualifies him for the position regardless of his age or experience. I hope someone who counts sees this and pays him some attention so that they don't lose a really great employee. Kudos to you young man!! And bravo to whoever raised you ?”
“Very clean and well organized. Shelves are fully stocked which made getting in and out pretty easy. Cashiers were friendly and check out was made quick. Pretty impressive for a Saturday and only one cashier. Maderia did a good job keeping the line moving.”

I'm not sure what their hours are, but it always seems like they are open, each and every time I drive here. Recommended.”

“The people work here are great very pleasant but a lot of people steal from this store and people begging outside to buy them packs of cigarettes or whatever they think they can get out of you. Watch out be aware & for people who steal you are taking out of their paychecks they dont make a lot find a better target if you have to do that sinner”
“I go here 3x a week and love it. I know it may be messy or boxes but its expected when they don't have a crew to unload and stock shelves. They work hard cashiering and doing it in between when they can. Love the Glen Carbon location. Staff is very nice and friendly. Makes it a plus.”
“I have to say, the male employee was super nice & helpful on 2-17-24 in the evening. The Store was clean & organized, such a big difference from the Belleville location on Idler Rd. Which I will never go back to, due to very rude employees, not helpful, empty shelves or isles constantly blocked by products.”
