“Great service at the front desk and restaurant. The housekeeping staff is very friendly, too. The beds aren't the most comfortable, unfortunately. The last few times I've been here, the cleanliness has been worse and worse. This is something I hope they pay more attention to.

Rooms: The rooms are nice enough, but they'd be much better if the beds were more comfortable.

Walkability: The hotel is within walking distance of a number of restaurants, which is very convenient.”

“Free shuttle to MidAmerica Airport!

Rooms: Very clean updated and comfortable bed.

Nearby activities: Walking distance to Huddle House, great steak, Pilot Gas and things connected, and a pizza place that will deliver to the hotel

Safety: In the middle of fields of vegetables just off the hwy. Was safe for me a woman traveling alone.

Food & drinks: Hotel has a nice assortment of food and drinks.

Noteworthy details: They have a little room with 4 gaming machines. I came out ahead by 76 cents. It was fun.”

“My wife and I stayed 3 weekend nights. The room was clean, and comfortable. The best part was the staff - everyone from the front desk, to the people at the Kickback, to the staff just walking in the hallway had a smile on their face, and were extremely willing to help. The Kickback feature was a great perk, much appreciated after a long day. As a traveler, I could tell the walls were thicker, and better insulated than most hotels. There is nothing more annoying than hallway noise after a long day. I even heard one employee politely and diplomatically, ask a guest, whose kids were running up and down the hall late at night, to respect other guests trying to rest. We will definitely be back, and recommend to others.”

“It’s really nice to have the suite room in addition to the bedroom. This hotel is very clean and updated. The beds are most comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast buffets we’ve had. For the price, this is a bargain and excellent choice.”

“I stay at holiday inns 95% of the time while traveling and have found some excellent and some are nothing special. Well this was nothing special, service was not the normal. She wasn’t friendly like most are pretty much checked me in and didn’t even say anything else I had to ask her questions like do I get my point for being a reward member like they normally just ask me what I would like (they points, breakfast a snack etc..) where the elevators are, the pool, gym, etc. the room was a little musty but I was so tired I just passed out. It’s not a bad place but also nothing special.

Rooms: Smelled musty. The lobby and hallways was warm too. Seems like there trying to save electricity”

“The lady and man at the front desk was very nice. The swimming pool was clean however it could be a little warmer. The storms made the power go off for a short second and it was kind of scary but it came right back on. I felt sorry for the lady at front desk b c all the computers was off and they would not reboot so she could sell stuff from the store or check more people in. The breakfast was good and ladies were very friendly. They need hair dryers in the rooms though and there wasn't one. The guy checking people out was nice also. The bed was very soft and cozy.”

“Great location and easy to get to, right off the interstate. Traveling from L.A to NY and needed a quick rest spot. Animals are FREE, and two per room which is the best deal as we usually pay $75 per night at Hiltons. The room and bed were comfortable, I wish it had been a bit cleaner, it wasn't horrible just could tell the floors had not been mopped but other than that we had a great stay. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a budget friendly rest.”

“I usually avoid Super 8 hotels because of concerns about location or cleanliness but traveling for the eclipse I thought I'd give it a try due to the cost of others inside the eclipse path and just needing a place to stay. Very pleasantly surprised. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helped me find a place to plug in my electric vehicle. I was pleased to see a very nice sink in the room and everything was very clean. A couple marks on the walls but that's from the use of guests luggage. Did see a couple of dead insects by the window, just the household kind that fly in and can't get out that fell in rhe cracks. Fridge microwave and coffee maker showed some use and could have been a little cleaner. One drawer didn't close all the way from guest damage. That all said, the beds, the sheets, the pillows and the bathroom and the sink and the carpet all were very clean and well kept. This place is a deal for someone who doesn't need frills.”

“Stopped here on a long family road trip. For the price, this hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean, and the included breakfast was exactly what you expect of a free hotel breakfast. If you're looking for a convenient place to stop for the night, this is a great option.”

“I'm not really going to say too much about this except they're awesome and I worked there but to be completely honest you have to set the tone and their atmosphere is great the good morning the good news I just love it.Rooms: They're quite beautifulNearby activities: You have bowling up the street the drive-in movie theater is probably about 20 minutes down the roadSafety: Safety we have so many Engineers that work there that they're always around and the GM and everyone always looks out for each other.Walkability: We do have sidewalks out there so the stroll is nice if you just want to take a walk beautiful now if you keep walking a little bit further you can run into the Illinois State Police building so hey it's good to walkFood & drinks: Well I will say it is a restaurant called Porters inside the building and I also would stay that we have them everyday for lunch with a dream to work there at DoubletreeNoteworthy details: The noteworthy details about this hotel is that I work there so if you ever run into me say hello because the smile I give you will your day”

“Hey look! It's a hotel. The room was crunk and clean. Smelled.like a fresh can of room spray called..... Pine Blunt. Other than smelling like weed in East St. Louis it's a pretty dope spot and very affordable.”
