“Several years ago, we painted our kitchen cabinets with Annie Sloan products we bought from Di Lucca Design. Michelle was helpful then in explaining the process in order to achieve the best results. After a while, and as can happen with any painted finish, we needed to touch up the "trash can" door which takes the most abuse. Since Annie Sloan is now manufactured overseas, there is apparently a slight color variation from the Coco color we originally used. Obviously, we called Michelle to ask what to do. Not only was she able to track down a sample size of the original formula, but she shipped it out to us without an invoice. Wow! If you're looking for Annie Sloan products or help/advise for your own projects, Michelle's your gal. Thanks Michelle taking such good care of us. We really appreciate it!”

“Aside from the fact that they have pretty much everything you need if you're making a small run to the hardware store and they've got some really premium lumber, but beside that they have one of the best cashiers I have ever encountered. He has joke after joke and is always smiles. He will literally brighten your day. He is one of the biggest reasons why I choose to come in to this ace versus going to any other hardware store. He really deserves a raise or some type of promotion or bonus.”

“When it was Paulsons I never had a problem with orders being fulfilled with timely communication and punctuality. I ordered touch up paint a week ago. Was supposed to get a call by Tuesday. Nothing. Come in today, they never even placed it. Guy was full of excuses "I don't work on weekdays, I wrote it on the board" like thats all people can do for customers. Good customer service is proactive customer service and this ain't it.I live in forest park but I now get to drive to Lagrange to get stuff that I'd walk down the street for a year ago.Edit: the guy said that Lagrange had what I wanted. I get to Lagrange and they don't, forest park assistant knew it because he called later, never bothered to notify. Now forest park manager is doing damage control but this has killed a giant chunk of a day where I needed to get lots of things done. Good going!Final edit: the manager personally fulfilled the order at another location and dropped it off at our house. I'm revising this from 1 star to 4 since while it's best to get the order right in the first place, our order was small and he did everything he could to make up for it anyway. That does mean a lot.”

“JC Licht is a great place to get Hunter Douglas Shades from start to finish. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The item was delivered before the delivery date and the installation was awesome. The installer Alex was not only an expert but was very conscientious about cleanliness. He took his shoes off before entering my home, laid his materials on a blanket on my floor to prevent any scratching and had the installation complete in a timely manner quickly. I highly recommend them.”
