“There are time when they have great items on sale for a low price. Specially the tools. There are some items that need staff assistance and sometimes they are hard to find. I bought some 3/4 of boards and wanted to have it pre cut. I asked the register and had the guy paged twice. I waisted 23 mins for the guy to show up. Also the tool rental was great. One time i rented a carpet doctor vac. It worked really good. And the 50lb electric jack hammer worked right for my project. In general the store is great. They carry almost all tool brands for diy repairs. Great store.”

“I've been going here for about 40 years, on my regular rotation of hardware stores of which there only 2.I really appreciate that there's always someone to assist with some crazy me project.It is terrific to go and buy 3 screws or a single wedge to fix a nuts thing that needs fixin.Smells exactly how a hardware store should with a bunch of people that know their s$$t.Fix windows, screens and pretty sure they offer a pick-up/repair service for small equipment....plan ahead.I always treat myself to a Danish or Coffee Cake from Kirschbaums (next door) if I'm early enough.”

Also, the cuts were not great as it looks like the blade they used is not in the best shape. I would definitely come here again but I don't think I'll be paying for wood cutting here in the future.”

“These guys really know their business. They are the real "helpful hardware men" as the commercial states and a pleasant change from the giant and typically unhelpful Home Depot. This ACE has repeatedly saved me time and money by suggesting better solutions for home repair. The selection is surprisingly good also and usually has at least a couple of solutions to every home repair problem. Just ask and they will tell you the best solution!On one occasion I had called a professional plumber who declared my kitchen plumbing problem "too hard" with the plumber complaining about the depth of the sink and the relatively high location of the single drain pipe (for three drains). The plumber then slipped out the back, leaving me to solve my own problem. I took a trip to the ACE and the associate at this ACE spent over an hour helping me solve this plumbing problem, with the ACE associate placing more than a dozen plumbing parts on the floor in the proper order... I went home and by the end of the day it was working.On another occasion, I went to this ACE thinking I would buy some WD-40 to loosen rusted screws in order to remove a broken screen door. The ACE associate showed me the WD-40 but then suggested an alternate product "PB Blaster" which I purchased on their recommendation. I returned home and applied the PB Blaster to the rusted screws on the screen door. Several screws were rusted on tight and resisted my efforts to loosen them. The instruction for the PB Blaster advises waiting a few minutes for the Blaster to soak in, so it seemed like a good time to take a lunch break. I returned from lunch to find the rusted screws popped out, and the screen door on the ground. Wow, just wow.So, if there is such a thing as a home repair magician, these guys are it!Highly recommended.”
“Very happy with recent service from AG. He replaced a plexiglass storm window panel with bent aluminum frame, and the hardware on a sliding storm window panel from a porch door. Relatively small jobs, but he took care to complete the repairs right and at a low price. Communication throughout the process was also great. Highly recommended.”
“Pleasant surprise. I came in and was greeted by a friendly guy with glasses. He offered for help and took me to the place where I could find my stuff. Next, I went to the order pickup area at the back of the store. A younger guy asked if the piece of glass is what I was looking for. Yes, it was. He then offered to cut to the size if I needed. He cut and wrapped it nicely in a good quality ACE paper for free. He also walked me to the cashier to pay for other stuffs.It is very hard to see this kind of high quality services nowadays.
