“LOVE OUR NEWLY RENOVATED DOLLAR GENERAL!!! SO MANY NEW ITEMS, SO WELL LAID OUT FOR A PLEASANT, EVEN FUN, SHOPPING EXPERIENCE! EMPLOYEES VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HOMETOWN PROUD!”
“Nice clean and well managed store. Great prices on most items, quality is usually good on the house brand items. Good wine options. No self checkout, but that's not important to me. The only negative is the parking lot is a convoluted route back to main street.”
“Got some steak to cook for Valentine's Day here and was nervous because I wasn't sure exactly how to ask for what I needed. The employee who helped me was so helpful and patient. Will definitely be returning!”
“The Morton Kroger has been updated and is the cleanest and best stocked Kroger store in the Tazewell County area. They seem to generally have plenty of cashiers available and a fresh inviting produce section. There is a Starbucks right inside the store entrance. No deals there just the convenience of one stop shopping. A few observations: -They have a loyalty program where you register and trade your buying history for fuel points (rewards) toward the purchase of gas at the Kroger fuel station. In order to get the lowest advertised store price on Kroger merchandise you have to scan your card or provide your phone number. A strategy might be to use a common family phone number to more quickly build rewards. -Rather than BOGO their deal is Buy 5 Save 5. So on a frozen vegetable instead of paying the Kroger loyalty price of 2.29 you pay 1.29 each if you buy 5 in the same brand and category. Seems like a deal if they have sufficient stock when you are shopping. Wednesday is when the weekly store ad/specials drop so probably the best day to shop. -They have a 'Last Chance' section where they offer clearance prices on stickered merchandise. Aisle 8 when I was there. A quick scan and a check of expiration dates can net a bargain. -Kroger offers online digital coupons that you can clip after you download and register through their app. Check the app privacy details for the many ways Kroger can gather and sell your personal information including to third party advertisers.”

“A friendly experience as always and priced right. Love having somewhere so close to home. Staff is always professional and doing all they can to help. Thanks guys!”
“It's just another quick stop dollar general in illinois, I would rate higher, but it's a bit discouraging to see a posted sign targeting the youth. The sign stated, "Only two under 18 allowed in at a time". This coming from a "major" retailer is a bit concerning. Is it a lack of funding to implement newer security cameras ? I've been in a wide variety of dollar generals ranging from small towns up to multiple millions of residents. Why is this small town dollar general targeting the younger community?”
“This place has considerably changed since the days of early closes. They have been open every day and night . I always get a smile and a have a nice day . The store is clean n minimal carts on the floor . They must be under new management .”
“Mackinaw IGA is a small hometown grocery store with a deli & bakery. This IGA sells liquor and they also have a small aisle of hardware items.
The Mackinaw IGA has a good deli and bakery. The deli sells homemade side dishes sold by the pound, lunch meat, cheeses , rotisserie chicken, fried chicken and meal specials. Great place to stop and grab a bite for lunch on the run.
When the weather's nice they grill out in the parking lot and you can purchase a pork chop, ribeye steak or braut sandwich accompanied with chips and a soda. (They used to have really good fried chicken but they have changed brands to Chesters which I do not like.)
The staff is friendly, helpful and the store is always clean.
Their prices are a little high but you're paying for small town convenience.
Overall Mackinaw IGA is a winner.”
