“Needed to replace propane tank for outdoor grill, but find it heavy and awkward to "switch out" at my age. Store staff was wonderfully friendly in both selection and purchase, as well as careful referral to local handyman able to make timely home visit at very reasonable cost. I felt important with small purchase and look forward to returning for other "projects".”
“Not the cheapest spot depending on what you're getting, but the employees tend to be really helpful and nice, and it's definitely a good place if you need a really particular part (such as when our hose valve kept leaking). We usually come in for propane for our business—you can get both tanks and refills here. We are part of their rewards program so we're always getting coupons sent to us. Love perusing the garden center, good plant selection during that season.”

“Very friendly and helpful service as soon as I walked in. Everyone received help immediately as there were a lot of staff on the floor escorting customers. Merchandise was well-stocked and labeled. The paint section here is smaller than most other Ace Hardware locations. Everything seemed very dusty (however, most hardware stores are!) but no biggie. Nice little selection of plants. Some have seen better days and one plant needed water badly. The popcorn machine was being used and the young man was very sanitary and professional attending to it. The cashier was extremely friendly and happy. As a whole, everyone working seemed so pleasant and helpful which makes a tremendous difference.”

“All the employees are quick, helpful and knowledgeable. I brought in a pair of faucet cartridges and before I could say anything he had the correct replacements in hand. The same guy walked me through a dishwasher hookup as well when I was unsure of what PVC parts I needed for it to work. See attached pictures for a before and after.”

There are many hardware stores in Naperville, but only Ace takes the time to understand the need and provide options. Not one big box store did that for me this summer. I will always go to Ace.”
“Update: I’d like to update my previous review for Carlson Glass and Mirror. The repair took quite a while—two weeks for a small mirror—but the quality of the work and the price were absolutely amazing. I really appreciate this small business for their excellent craftsmanship. However, I believe they could speed up the process, and I would have been willing to pay extra for faster service. Overall, my experience was good, aside from the lengthy turnaround time.”

Even though I wasn't a customer at the time, the owner saw me and kindly sent two of his employees to help. They went above and beyond with their customer service, treating me with kindness and generosity. It's clear they truly care about their community. “What's not to love when the conversation deals with inexpensive tools, gadgets and the like. It's possible many of their goods are produced overseas and if that's a bother, seek out online whiteboards that discuss all the American made items. Stopped in randomly to look around. Found a handy tool to clear a clogged sink(in seconds), a ridiculous amount of rubber bands and a set of tool box accessories, all of which were on sale. There is always some sort of price reductions on useful items you may not (necessarily) need but could have use for one day. With that said, also got some solar pathway pucks for the yard. As seen on TV quality. If you have one of these local to you, it's worth joining their loyalty perks program so you stay up-to-date on price breaks. If you're in the services/ trades, they have many of your needs and offer used equipment for sale.”

“I called ahead to get pizza cutter kit for a birthday present.i was twenty minutes away and was going to be late and call to see it still open and Karl was there and he knew I was coming and said don’t worry I will wait for you. I was only a few minutes late.Thats what i call great service.i have bought several things from Woodcraft and always satisfied.If you work on a wood lathe then woodcraft is the place to go.They always have what I need and extremely helpful. Great people to deal with.I highly recommend to check out woodcraft if haven’t been there.”

Chad Fuko - very professional, knew his product thoroughly. Chad took one look at my faucet picture and said “Devonshire - $381.29” I never thought I was going to find my 16-year old faucet. Chad nailed it in 1 minute. Two forms filled out via email, and I had my faucet - and a very happy wife. Doesn’t get any better than that.”

“I’ve been here several times for various home improvement items, garden tools or plants, and even cleaning products (better prices than Amazon!) and this last time I was really impressed by how helpful Scott was in lumber. He helped me find exactly what I needed, even found an alternative option for a 2 x 2 I needed in cedar, and made the cuts for me perfectly. I really appreciated it and my potato box I’m making is coming along nicely. Thanks again!”

“Always greeted when we come in. Staff always ask what they can help us with. They sell key fobs and program them.Recently ordered a key fob.. cheaper then the dealer... Joe did the setup. 5 minutes later key fob failed. He was on the phone with the manufacturer right away! New one to be sent out. But Joe calls me 5 minutes later and says another one was located!!! Joe programmed the new one and made sure it was working. Even found out the first one was defective from the manufacturer. His professionalism and customer service is very much appreciated!”

“Another great experience at Alexander Equipment. Stopped in the drop off and schedule a repair to my older back pack blower and was greated with a friendly smile and quick service. Gentleman at the counter helped me right away and within 10 min my old blower was good as new... I refused to go to Russo's and the old Kipps.. these guys at Alexander are the tops.. will always go here first for repair and parts...”
