Plant stuff, electrical, plumbing, even bought a hat and gloves last fall!We try then first before resorting to the big box alternatives.Abd when you are done, you can stop at Lickity Split for an ice cream!!”

Lynn, the manager, went out of her way to make sure that I received my item, fully put together, delivered and installed, from another Ace that was closer to my address. “Very happy with recent service from AG. He replaced a plexiglass storm window panel with bent aluminum frame, and the hardware on a sliding storm window panel from a porch door. Relatively small jobs, but he took care to complete the repairs right and at a low price. Communication throughout the process was also great. Highly recommended.”

“Excellent store and well staffed. This Ace Hardware is by far one of the best I have ever been in. We have friends and family make a point to visit this location when they are in town just because of the products offered, easy to shop layout, and wonderful customer service.
The Ace Hardware South Loop store had everything we needed and more. We didn't have to make an extra trip to Home Depot or Target, which was really nice. I found hard-to-find cleaning products (the Weiman and Brasso brands) and a range of product sizes (really nice if you don't want to purchase a jumbo size of something). Prices were great too.
This store's customer service deserves a thousand stars, in our opinion. The staff knows where everything is and are friendly and knowledgeable on products and fixing/cleaning/painting/repairing things. This location by far stands out in the South Loop as one of the top businesses. Definitely check it out for your home/apartment/condo needs! Special shoutout to Edwardo. He was a BIG help!”
“Andersonville Hardware is convenient and close. I’ve gone in to find a small part from time to time and they have always been very nice and helpful.A couple years ago, they re-screened a window screen for me. My only complaint is that the screen was not done very tight so it flaps a bit in the breeze, but otherwise has held up fine.”

“We used Kitchen and Bath Mart in the early 90's for kitchen remodeling in our first home and we were extremely happy with the results. So when it came time to update our kitchen, down stairs bath and master bath in our second home we went once again to Kitchen and Bath Mart in Niles. Working with George was a pleasure, he was very knowledgeable on all levels of the project.
Because of the multitude of choices available it is hard to decide what we wanted, George help guide us by offering options using drawings and examples at their nicely appointed show room.
The project went as planned, in the time frame they proposed. The installation crew consisted of a husband and wife team, Kris and Joann who did a fantastic job, they are truly artists at what they do. They were clean, organized and friendly. As in any major project there were a couple unexpected things that popped up, they were worked around the problems with professional results.
We highly recommend Kitchen and Bath Mart and would use them again.”
“While moving our child into a new apartment in Chicago, we had a need to buy a room air conditioner, and some other odds and ends to fill out apartment life after graduating from college. Everyone I interacted with in the store was extremely helpful. It was like a hardware store from 10 or 20 years ago where everybody knew where everything was and helped you and was kind. They even have a parking lot that I could park my giant truck and they were amazing. Highly recommend.”

“For truck drivers... entrance is the west gate. Pull up to the gate and call the number posted. Pretty easy backing. Unload time is about an hour. Getting to the delivery can have some tight turns but overall not bad.”

“1st time placing an online order for pick up at this store. After researching, their pricing was better, and they had the exact model # IN STOCK that I wanted, not a similar item like the big box store was trying to offer. The order was placed at 1:20pm. I received the email that it was ready for pick up at 1:55pm.
I didn't walk through the store, but there were quite a few people in there. The lady at the counter was very pleasant. She greeted me with a smile, located my order, and sent me on my way. The process was seamless and easy. I've never given much thought into where I get my items from, but it just makes sense to go to the smaller locations now. I appreciate these stores a lot more than I once did. I'll be back.”

We had a problem with a leaky sink and contacted angela. She took care of it within a day and had parts via warranty by the end of the week . I'd highly recommend her if you ever need anything done!!!”
