“We really enjoy Hanover Park Animal Care Center because they were quick to get our dog in during 2 different emergency situations. They also always call to check up on our pup in the following days if she has an ear infection or paw infection for instance. I am also appreciative that they light a memorial in the entryway for anyone who has lost a pet that day.The only opportunity I have to share is with scheduling. We often wait 45 mins to an hour for any scheduled appointments, including nail trims. This has been this way for years. Although the staff is always friendly, staffing is a long standing issue.”

Add two 6 month old recently adopted kittens who both had some unexpected issues and although they were booked up, managed to squeeze them in. The office atmosphere is calm and relaxed. I cannot recommend enough!The pics show my 18 year old Super Senior, Izzie, getting her weekly acupuncture, chiropractic, and cold laser therapy. This along with medication and herbs, help manage her arthritis pain and chronic kidney disease. We are very fortunate to have them so close by.Prices are slightly higher than the high traffic vets around, but the care and service we receive is more than worth it. I wish more vets were like The Whole Pet and offered the holistic services and care.”

“Very clean. Professional and friendly staff! Easy to make appointments and good hours. A little pricey. I used them most recently to get my puppy neutered because my regular vet had an injury and wasn't able to do surgery for a while. They were over 10% more expensive than my usual vet. Granted, my usual vet has a much more modest space, but it's still clean and the staff is great. So if cost is no object.....”

“We had a minor emergency (infection) and Elk Grove was the only vet who had room to see our dog. They were kind, patient, and really listened. I felt like my dog mattered to them, and they helped us when we really needed help. We've since said goodbye to our old vet and switched. We've done a full wellness exam and our experience was good. I think they are especially trustworthy because they are an independent clinic- no corporate buy outs. I'm so happy we found them.”

“I’m disappointed in the lack of communication from reception. Dr. Pfeiffer was amazing when handling our kitten, but we have rescheduled his neuter procedure 3 separate times. He was supposed to come in on the 6th for his procedure, which is the latest they would honor his blood work, and the doctor is injured and unable to complete the procedure. Now we spent 3 months waiting on appointments for him to get fixed, and now we have to completely restart because no other places will honor his blood work since it was done so long ago. Obviously life happens and people get hurt or sick, but it’s been ridiculous trying to work with them because I don’t get a call until the day before he’s supposed to have his procedure. The blonde vet tech (I believe her name is Natalie) just seems to not care.Update: they did reach out and make things right, I missed a call while I was at work from Dr. DeCraene who was very apologetic and understanding. We were able to get our kitty scheduled somewhere else that was recommended to us.”

“Dr Walsh and the vet assistance were very kind and easy to talk to about our older cat. They talked to us about a care plan to help resolve the issue before moving into the next phase of testing. An estimate was given so we knew what to expect if it comes down to further testing. They were clear with instructions and made us feel comfortable with the options given. “Our senior dog George tore his right rear leg ligament last year, and was not a good candidate for surgery. He is responding well to the therapy plan. The Vets and Assistants are all committed to George's health and his comfort. Given his weaker rear legs, I am very pleased with the safety and methods of working with him. He was in pain in late 2022 , and the therapy plan has brought him a lot of pain relief and allowed him to have a more comfotable senior year with more activity than he could have had without the therapy.”
