“American Legion is an amazing facility. It is a small venue, but you always have large amounts of fun there whenever you enter those doors. I have been there since August of last year for wrestling events with a friend of mine and we enjoy it every single time we go. There is never a dull moment and the people there are always incredibly nice and kind.”

“Casa hosted my aunt's 90th birthday party for around 100 people. They were so accomodating, and made my aunt feel like a princess - tiara and all. The space was very homey, and Casa arranged the catering, photographers, and musician. My family has been going to events at their beautiful grounds for at least 60 years. There always seems to be some type of festive event going on. It is a hidden gem.”

“The building houses a lot of exercise space and equipment. The locker rooms are clean, lockers are plentiful and usable. Staff needs to clean hair dryers as the intakes are usually clogged with lint. The pool, saunas, and steam rooms are clean. Sometimes the hot tub can be cool or the pool a little cool depending on various factors. The staff is courtious and helpful. I get a discount thru my insurance to use the facility which is nice. Nice place...”

“This is a small thrift store in a strip mall with a parking problem. (There are signs telling Wings customers specifically where they can't park.) Very well organized inside. It contains mostly quality goods (clothes to household to furniture to jewelry) priced up higher than most thrift stores. However, you sometimes find special items that aren't carried in the Salvation Armies or Goodwills that make it worth stopping in.”

The ONLIEST reason I rate 4 stars instead of 5 is because they close so darn early, and I can't always get there on the weekends to shop. “Hello,The people that volunteer are so kind and NEVER make you feel bad for requesting help..I barely have any teeth left, do certain items are hard for me to eatCan I suggest something like that be added to the list you fill out when you arrive?I was given Italian bread and some sort of bread in a ball shape, lol. They turned hard in one day, do I wasn't able to eat it.There's might be others in the same position as me that are too embarrassed to mention it.I'm not complaining ar all. You are a life savor.”

“I have been working with Amrit and Faith for roughly a month or two now and have only positive things to say about both! I worked with a therapist years ago and it was such a terrible experience that I never thought I would try it again. After getting to my lowest mental health point, I knew it was time to reach out for help and so I did but was very nervous due to my previous experience. Both Amrit and Faith have made me feel hopeful, heard, and treated me with nothing but kindness, respect, and care. I finally feel I am on track to my best self and I owe them so much credit. They are giving me the tools I need to get through this and to continue on a good path. The clinic was also understanding of my recent back surgery and was able to accommodate me with having tele visits with both! I would HIGHLY recommend them.”

“We adopted a lovely dog, Bear. The team at BF couldn’t have been nicer. They answered all our questions and made us comfortable. All the employees and volunteers were emotional saying goodbye but over the moon one of their dog received a forever home. It’s truly a unique and special place. “This is a very nice large and well-maintained community center located in a quiet section of Des Plaines. I've been here several times mainly to enjoy their 300 seat theatre which I have reviewed separately as the Big Noise Theatre. I did walk through here once in our early days of relocating into this area, and they do also have among other things a fitness center and a second floor walking track. There are other amenities here as mentioned in the other reviews and it's a mighty fine community asset. I also particularly enjoy their large, convenient, and well laid out parking lot.”
“I love this therapy place so much. MyTherapist was the best, very much had a lot of trust in her I always looked forward to therapy. The reception people are so nice I always got candy from them, and one day I did get to pick out some skincare they were giving away for the holidays. I sometimes didn’t go which was the reason I got dropped since of course there were other people waiting to be attended. Kenneth Young Center was definitely a 10/10 service they’re super kind. I am hoping to get back with Kenneth Young Center since my parents do think I need therapy again but I would go back in a heartbeat I’m forever grateful for the staff. And my therapist she’s the sweetest and gave me beautiful advice.”
