As employee or contractor, you are not selling your time here, you are sacrificing a part of your existence here. They do have a crafty way of framing it, of boxing it up and selling it to you, and it is some variation of the following: “ Freight and household moving is not for everyone, but if you are committed to us, you will make a lot of money to compensate for what you give up” How, would you ask. By separating and combining tasks, responsibilities and risks, and compensating you for some, and refusing to compensate you for others. In the end you end up doing more for less, and not getting paid for it. That's how they do it. I have done the math hundred times over, it just can't work. Steering wheel holders looking for minimum wage, here your opportunity. Anyone else, keep looking. So, if you are a contractor looking to sign on at any of the branches of Federal Companies, good luck! You are going to need it.”
