“My Wife and I were looking for out door sets for our recently finished deck around the beginning of September.We decided to spend a Saturday and pick four stores to see what our options were and in our budget. After our first three stores we visited we were both a little confused and disappointed that this late in the season we were mostly stuck buying a full display set only. As what we saw and liked we couldn’t split sets to mix and match to our lliking.Our last stop of the day was the Great Escape in Downers Grove. I forgot all about this store.I bought my first teak table and chair set from them in the spring of 2005. We were in the market now for more contemporary pieces than the teak wood. A nice gentlemen named Chris Damarjian greeted us right away on arrival and was able to assist my wife and I with thoughts and Ideas and styles of what we liked. Chris was so helpful and knowledgeable of the products that are out there as well as other brands they didn’t sell. Chris put every effort to make us feel at ease and to let us know that what ever we purchase We will not be disappointed. Chris hit it right on the mark. We did purchase multiple items from table and chairs, swiveling chairs ,side tables ,fire pit, couch set and umbrella .To say everything went smooth with delivery and item availability was spot on, No, not exactly, But with one phone call to Chris everything was corrected and within a few days it was all resolved. What we would have to say is “Chris has made this one of the best high end purchases we have ever had” and definitely would recommend visiting him in his new managerial position in the Aurora Great Escape. “My husband and I were shopping for living room furniture last weekend. Our wants were very specific; power reclining sofa without middle seat or center drink holders. We went to several stores and since the selection of was limited, most sales people attempted to sell us a style of sofa we did not want. Our last stop was at the new Room Place in Woodridge on Boughton. This is where we met Mr. Alvaro Gonzalez who provided us with exceptional customer service. He only showed us the styles we wanted, he let us take our time, did not hover, answered all questions and took the time to calculated payment plans for two different sets. In the end, we selected a floor sample, and Mr. Gonzalez made sure we inspected thoroughly before finalizing the sale. The set was delivered five days later and we were impressed because not only did the furniture arrive within the estimated window, but we received updates so we would know exactly when it would arrive. The delivery team was polite and efficient, making the overall experience great. If you are looking for furniture, I highly recommend visiting the room place on Boughton in Woodridge, and if you are lucky enough to work with Alvaro Gonzalez, I am sure you will have a very positive experience.”

But your phone customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with, very rude and giving out false Information.This could be avoided by having a direct phone line to the store. Get rid of the present customer service that you have. It's really bad!!”

“Best place in DG for flowers and sod. A bit of a higher price point but much higher quality and selection than Home Depot. As far as the outdoor furnishings, gifts, and other merchandise it's a bit out of my budget but nonetheless a cute selection. Service is great, Kate at the register deserves a special shout-out.”
