When I went to return it to a different Menards (Mt Prospect) because I was in that area, the manager, Jerry, refused to take my items back. I called Long Grove, spoke with Stacy, she went out of her way to follow up, call me back, and accept my return. Terrific customer service, Stacy! Thank you. I'll never shop Menards Mount Prospect again.”

“Retail Stores are difficult to review, because it's all about the layout, mobile site, and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Home Depot is no different from any other home remodeling store, except I find their stores are much easier to locate items than other stores. I can be in and out of the store in 10mins because it's easy to navigate. For those who don't shop at Home Depot very often, then your smart phone will be your best friend. Simply search their site for product (make sure you to have the right location) and in return their site will provide the aisle and Bin#. Super Helpful. A store isn't a great store without great employees. I had a question about a product and one of their employees took his time to explain the pros and cons of several different products depending on the nature of or current situation. This allowed us to make a sound decision on which product to purchase.”

“The staff is absolutely wonderful. They answered all my questions and directed me to the ice melt section without any issues. They also allowed me to leave the cash register and come back to get an additional box of ice melt and were patient and waited (this was around 7am so barely any customers were in the store). The staff was smiling and had a great energy for being super early in the morning. This was also the final store where I could find pet-safe ice melt, I went to 4 prior and found nothing. Menards is the best!”

“Sometimes service is good, sometimes not so good. If you know what your looking for, then you just have to look for the stuff on the shelves. Otherwise you have to ask staffs which some are helpful and some just gives basic info. Was here to buy painting stuff and the guy was very helpful. And the power tools were looking for was available. Great store.”

“Best Home Depot I’ve been in in awhile. The customer service was amazing. Marilyn/Lynn and Marvin went above and beyond right from the start to make the trip easy and smooth. I went down another aisle and another teammate helped me find something in minutes. This store is worth going out of your way to go to- friendly, well stocked, easily to get around and helpful team. Highly recommend!!”

“50/50 chance to find what you want within 15 mins. 25% chance to find someone to help you find anything without an attitude. 10% chance to find someone that knows more about what you need than you do! lol.And 100% chance the person that helps you will use the same app that I just used and be just as confused as I am. Seriously, I’m usually there for a minimum of 30 mins to get nuts and bolts… you know in those drawers that have nuts and bolts already torn open (stolen) before I got there and no one replenished the stock or took out the empty bags. Regardless, I keep going back. Why? They offer military discounts (10%) and I appreciate that. Bottom line, I eventually find what I’m looking for 90% of the time, it’s just never quick!”

“Girl at the return counter was very nice, but wouldn’t allow me to exchange an item for the correct item, which is significantly higher priced. I told her i would pay the difference, but they will not do any exchanges without the receipt. The service was fine, but that policy should allow exchanges, esp when the new item is $100 more.”

“Went to Lowe’s to buy a snowblower, upon walking in Mr. Steve asked me if I needed any help. I had mentioned I was looking for a gas powered snowblower and he showed me what was available. Mr. Steve took the time to educate me with the different types of snowblowers and features. After a lengthy conversation with many questions I ended up purchasing a electric snowblower. Not only did I leave with a new snowblower I left with a better understanding of snowblowers. I really appreciated the time Mr. Steve took to help me out, not once did I feel rushed or pressured. I definitely will be shopping here again, thank you Lowe’s for a great experience.”

“It may be easy to pick on the Home Depot. It’s big, sometimes help is hard to find, an employee may be surly.I haven’t checked, but I’m guessing the review rating of this place is somewhere around 3. When something bad havens, people are quick to leave feedback. But when it’s good we just carry on with our day.I really like this Home Depot. The staff is filled with a lot of young people who are quite pleasant and competent. True, it may be hard to find stuff but the place is big. And prices are low; I don’t expect to find contractors working there with 25 years of experience!I recently rented a truck for 3 hours and 43 minutes. It cost me 80 bucks plus tax. That’s about 20 dollars an hour. That’s great. And the truck drove well, and was in good condition. It was a comfy ride and big. The young man at the rental desk was very nice on a very cold day.I asked a woman for help solving a problem. She walked me around the store until we found the perfect solution: a roll of insulation. I wish I had gotten her name. Any way, she knew the store and put on her thinking cap until we found just what I needed.Another young woman helped me find a washer in plumbing. Now it may be easy to dismiss a young Latina with a fancy hair style as not being a competent plumber, but she knew her area that’s for sure.The tool area in this store is big and the aisles are wide, which I’m not used to at a Home Depot.This store is around the corner from a nice mall as well.I get what I need at this Home Depot quickly and at a good price. The shopping experience is good. What more do I need from a store? Nothing.Thanks, Home Depot! And thanks rental guy and Latina gal and air conditioner insulation gal. You’re a credit to your company. If I find out their names I’ll let the company know that they’re doing well.”

“I go to this location prob 2-3x a week over the last 3 months. Everyone does the best they can for being a high volume location pinned against a strips of fast food. Other HD near by are out of red mulch, stones, gutters or just random stuff but this location runs out and restocks. I was behind a woman whom was returning flowers and complaining for over 20-25 minutes because she planted them in March and didn't cover or any other protection. It was mid June when she decided to go "Karen" on everyone in the store and talk to the manager's manager's manager. I was expecting her to ask for the Home Depot board members' personal information next.Customers just need to chill out and get over themselves. Curbside pickup is easy as you can put in your spot location on your order login or text it. This location also has a wider selection of crown molding that others done near by. I would like to add an employee named Greg who was picking online / curbside orders I'm guessing was super helpful and charming on my last visit. He helped me located some patio furniture that comes in multiple boxes and give us inventory levels at the Randhurst location. Put on your mask, shut up and give the employees a break cause we're all in this together.”

“Very good service. I had issues with the delivery of shingles for my roof. I want to pro desk and the one of the staff members John took care of the missing boxes of roof shingles immediately. My roofers are coming to work on the roof next day and it was important to have all products on time. Sometimes challenges arise and this is part of our life, however if the right people are responsive and can solve problem on spot the stress can be minimized. I recommend to step in to this HomeDepot and find out more about the service and products that they offer.”

They are remarkably helpful people - spent 40 minutes with us custom matching a stain for a new table top - need it to match the rest of the set in our kitchen. No extra charge - just the cost of the stain and varnish. Have had similar great experiences with them before.”
