“When our civilization is gone and future generations excavate our archeological remains they will find...Bob Ross toaster and panini maker? They will ponder, who was this individual and why did they embellish their bread with his likeness? This and other similar items are available at Hobby Lobby. I ventured in HL today in search of a multi-generational craft. I settled on painting metal containers that we can fill with candy. I decided against painting on glass because, well, breakable. I think the painting/candy eating activity will be just fine. I found all that I needed here, along with other things I don't (see toaster, above) and most of it on sale (sometimes up to 70 percent off). Surprisingly, most of the Easter items were already cleared away for patriotic red white and blue items (Memorial Day? Flag Day? Fourth of July ?).”

“One of the most enjoyable shopping experiences and some of the best customer service I have ever received for a major purchase. The showroom is super nice and generally quiet so you have the time and space to decide from the multiple styles and price points. The quality of all furniture is excellent, much better than expected, especially when you consider how reasonably priced it is. We purchased a complete bedroom set in August 2023 and there was an odd size issue with the mattress. After a phone call and some pictures, the staff was extremely apologetic and resolved it as quickly as possible by replacing the mattress. And the delivery and installation crew were a pleasure to deal with. Overall, this was a five star experience with Dania. We're definitely looking forward to shopping there again and buying more from Dania.”

“I had the best customer service assistance from Zyia and Jake in pick up. I was running late because of an accident and was not going to make it in time before the store closed. I called to ask if it was still possible to come to pick up because I rented a uhaul and Zyia said it was fine. Jake had our pallet ready and loaded it within minutes. “If I could, I would give Upscale Rummage 10 stars! This place is truly amazing. Do you love thrifting? Do you think you've got your thrifting routine all worked out? Do you think you've got your line up of unmissable Chicago thrifts sorted? You are wrong... unless you've already been to Upscale Rummage already and this is your number #1 thrifting experience. No thrift store in Chicago gets even near the fabulousness of this place. It's huge but it is not filled with garbage. New and incredible stuff comes in every week! Great antique and modern furniture, light fixtures, books, records, clothes, jewelry, kitchenware, gardening, sport gears, textiles, rugs, mirrors and art... they also have a year-round Xmas shop and regular department discounts. This shop is also incredibly well curated. Items are very fairly priced too. Rene', the owner, and her army of charming helpers are a true delight. Always smiling and welcoming. We bought so much from this store. It has brought so much joy. We end up there almost every week and rarely leave empty handed. And the money goes to charity. I mean, what more do you want? This is the one and only thrift store in you need. Chicagoans, take a trip to Libertyville and learn how it's done. If you have not been to Upscale Rummage yet, you don't know what thrifting is about. Go. NOW!”
“I've watched my fair share HGTV shows where the designer goes to some kooky place filled with trinkets and treasures of times gone by. This place is a bit like that but mixed with the early days of Etsy. "Designers" can rent an 8x8 or bigger "storefront" to showcase their unique designs. Mostly stuff reclaimed from decades gone by and redesigned with some kind of flair. There's generally a theme to the different storefronts: women's vintage clothing, funny and lovey-dovey sayings regarding dogs and cats, plastic and silk flowers, dairy and farm, sarcastic sayings, whiskey barrel designs for the men dragged into this place, etc.
My wife and I found a whimsical chip and dip bowl. It was nice and will replace one of the blander versions we have at home.
Truthfully, there were quite a bit of items that were perfect housewarming gifts and gifts for people who have specific decor tastes.
It's also a decent place to just kill some time browsing through all the stuff people have created to get your own creative juices flowing.”

“I recently stopped in to look at lighting and found a wonderful display of ceiling fans and track lighting along with other lighting. . I had looked at a few other lighting stores and found Northwest had the best selection. Because of the selection and service I received, I purchased two ceiling fans and track lighting with beautiful pendants which Jessica suggested. I will go back when ready to order floor lamps. Jessica was a wonderful salesperson and was very helpful. She had great suggestions and was very good at getting back to me with questions I had. When the manufacturer of the track lighting sent an incorrect part, Northwest expedited the reorder of the part and had it delivered to my home.Also, late one evening when I called the store about the incorrect part, Jessica was with another customer and Thelma went out of her way to help me and called back well after the store's normal hours. She, too, offered exceptional customer service skills. I highly recommend this store.”
