Cermak Fresh Market is a decent, clean local marketplace with no bad smells. The store is very nice and clean, with excellent food presentation. Prices are generally okay, with good deals and good prices on fruits and vegetables. It is not the cheapest grocery store, however, and some hot food items are priced way too high. The store offers a good selection of produce, Mexican foods, and Asian foods. There is a bakery with fresh cakes and pastries and a ready-to-eat mini restaurant inside. A standout item is the amazing made-in-store guacamole, especially the spicy one. Outside the store, a popular tamales cart offers very delicious pork, chicken, and cheese tamales, described as the best ever. Employees are usually nice. The main complaints are that the produce quality can be low, with items sometimes bruised or expiring, and that parking is not good due to a shared lot. Overall, it is a store many locals prefer to support.
