Aloft Chicago Downtown River North is a hotel with a great location, perfect for walking to tourist areas, restaurants, and public transit. The lobby is a loved space with games and a coffee shop offering spectacular pastries and awesome coffee. Many guests highlight the extremely comfortable beds. The staff receives frequent praise for being nice, awesome, super knowledgeable, helpful, and lovely. Front desk staff are noted for going above and beyond to accommodate clients and for providing great service. The hotel is clean, with nice and clean workout facilities and quick room service. Nearby, guests enjoy the walkability to many little restaurants, including Beatrix in the hotel, which is cited for its spiritual breakfast. Other noted spots are The Smith, The Gauge, Raman-San, Sushi-San, and Fado. While most experiences are positive, some feedback mentions that the downstairs bar and coffee baristas are not at the same service caliber as the hotel staff. The staff was nice. The room was so small but clean.Great location to walk around instead of paying for parking. I love the lobby. There were games you could play while waiting on family or a ride.

Bryan at the front desk is awesome and goes above and beyond to accommodate clients. Landis is also awesome and was a great help too! My friend and I were headed out for the night and her shoe broke while on the street. Bryan and Landis provided Hotel Slippers so she wouldn’t be barefoot.
