“It's so nice to have a store that is close. Living here usually means a far drive when I need something. A few weeks ago I wanted to buy coffee but I didn't really need anything else. It was nice not to waste time driving out of town. Well worth the visit.”

“Kikkoman is an essential business in Walworth County. I hoped there'd be a Store or Tours for the Public but there's not.Kikkoman is huge, clean and wafts the pleasant smell of Soy Sauce. Truckers I talked to LOVE this company--fast in/fast out, helpful dock staff, plenty of turning room for huge tractor trailers. It's a great Brand & excellent employer.”

“I'm almost afraid to say it, because this store has a better selection than any store this size should. I want them to succeed, but I don't want them overrun by people hunting whiskey.”

“Coming up from Chicago to rural Wisconsin means it can be hard to find good Mexican food. The much-larger Daniels grocery has a few items in its "ethnic" section, but this is limited to salsa, refried beans, hard-shell taco shells, and stuff like that. At La Frontera, you can find just about everything and anything you'd need to cook. The vegetable & fruit section is always fresh, and the deli offers great cuts. Because they cater mostly to Hispanic customers, most of the products on the shelves are from Hispanic companies but there are of course many other staples. Also attached is a great taqueria from which we frequently order a bunch of stuff to make tacos/burritos at home--the guacamole is fantastic! The meal is far better than many of the Mexican restaurants that are around. They recently underwent a renovation (July 2022) and it looks great.”

“This place has such a nice warm vibe. They are truly a great big loving family here. Very nice, super accommodating and all the coffee or cool-aid you can drink. The decor is nice, woody and tastefully done. It is very different than any other salon I have been to. They all work together here like a smooth running machine...and all with smiles too.”

“La Rosita’s at 106 W Summer ST. is a Grocery store that provides quality Mexican food in the Harvard area. They have a Hughes selection of Caned, packaged and freshly made items like Pico de Gallo along with fresh meat and poultry and fresh vegetables. You can find hot dishes like roasted pork and chicharron (fried pork belly with meat) on the weekends (warning- you’ll need a good set of teeth to bite into this delicious salty snack). What you may not know is La Rosita’s also has a restaurant at the back of the store, complete with tables and chairs. They have a good selection of food on the menu, and you can eat in or take-out. I have tried the steak tacos and steak burritos and the food is tasty and filling. The meat is of high quality and not greasy. You could combine rice and re-fried beans to make a dinner for a few dollars more. So, if you’re hungry but don’t know what you want, try La Rosita’s “Restaurant” for some good food.”

“We just love having this small grocery store so close to home. Yes, you may pay a little more for some items, but there are some caveats. Get the gas card. You can rack up discounts quickly. Also, the meat here is stellar. Not only is the quality near many butcher shops, but you can catch some great sales. You can also find very good bargains on Boars Head deli products. Also in the deli, be sure to check out the fresh made tamales when they have them. They’re out of this world.”

“We were involved in a single vehicle mishap on our way home at 2am-ish after vending at the Boone Co. Fairgrounds, flea show 3pm to midnight. We parked at this Shell station after realizing we couldn't drive back home to Hanover Park because of flat tires. The station opened at 5am. My husband and I slept in the car, on the lot for 3 hours. At 5am my Mister, Dennis, approached the attendant,Brian. He was SOnhelpful! I wnt to let everyone know. Julie Swendsen-Jones”
