“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is our second year coming to this establishment for prom dresses. We purchased a dress last year as well, which was just as much success as this year. The staff is PHENOMENAL, and make the girls shopping for dresses feel safe and comfortable. As a mother, this is a huge relief. They are extremely attentive and very personable. They even have an alternation specialist available for dress alterations. We found the perfect dress for Senior prom all thanks to the amazing staff. This is the only shop I personally will continue to recommend even in the future for other parents. Highly Highly recommend!!!!!!!”

“Peak Running in La Grange is a fantastic shoe/running store. I have had a positive experience each of the five times I have shopped in there. None more positive than over the past weekend, with sales associate/Megan.Megan personified what customer service is all about on both days (Saturday; Sunday) I entered Peak Running. On Saturday, she was a major help in exchanging a pair of shoes for a better pair of shoes (at least for I was looking for).The pair of shoes that was coming my way was not to arrive until Sunday. Megan promptly called me when they arrived, and in finishing off her all-world weekend performance, she waited 5-10 minutes past closing time to accede my request, as I was coming from far away. Hence, I was able to get my shoes on Sunday as opposed to Monday.Thanks again, Megan!”

She has a spur on her left heel that's quite painful, so the Dr. said GS sells cushy shoes that could give her some relief. My mom is 88I phoned Monday, 4/29 at about 5:45 pm. The lady said she'd have to call me back, as the store was slammed. OK. Well, around 8 pm, Camille called back. I said, "It can wait until tomorrow; go home!" She said, "You sounded kind of desperate, so I called tonight." We ran through the situation and she assured me they could help.My mom had a Dr. appt. on Thursday, 5/2, so I wanted to kill a couple of birds while she was out anyway. Camille told me she might not be in when we came, but Mike could take care of us. And boy, did he! She hadn't be back of 5 minutes at Evergreen before receiving two compliments on the shoes. It's not about the fashion, but rather the comfort/relief the shoes bring. She said it was about 80% better.Mike was so kind, patient, professional, but relaxed; great sense of humor, too! I can't say enough about Golden Shoes, their staff and selection. We frequent restaurants nearby, but never knew the store existed. I'm so thankful Dr. Maureen recommended it. While attempting to find places in Chicago that sold garments in this style, Solei popped up on my Yelp search.Solei is a Chicago based store that partners with indigenous cooperatives in Mexico ensuring your purchase goes back to the community. They have a big selection of Mexican style embroidered dresses, tunics, tops and accessories in a multitude of colors and styles. A big plus is that they also sell Otomi style clothes and purses. I was really impressed with their selection which led me to visit them in person. Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted in store so I ended up purchasing my things online. In house, their stock is limited but at least you can try on stuff for look and fit.A majority of their goods are pulled from their warehouse. What you can't find in store, you can oftentimes get online at: soleistore.comIf shopping in store, they have a section devoted to ball gowns and tiaras. It seems like a popular place for purchasing quinceanera gear if you're in the market for it. Come out and visit Solei. “I went here a couple weeks ago looking for some new dance shoes. They were so friendly and nice in helping me find the right shoes. I went in planning on just getting ballet shoes, but ended up walking out with ballet and jazz shoes-both of which fit great and I love! There aren't many dance shoe stores around, so I'm especially thankful this place exists so close to me. It's so much more fun going to a store rather than purchasing online!”
