“Our dog got extremely sick from a vaccine she received at another vet. We did not feel comfortable going back there. Our dog had not eaten or had water for two days and it was Sunday. We went to an emergency vet which did not help much either. On Monday morning she was bleeding quite a lot from her rear. We called Gateway and they were amazing. Our dog stayed the day and came home Monday night pretty close to normal. A day later you could not tell she had any problems. Gateway is the only place our dogs will ever go in the future.”

“Dr. Cook and his staff are simply amazing. They're caring, communicate well and accommodating. Our 10 year old Australian Shepard had a full tear of his CCL. Our vet gave us a couple referrals to surgeons but none provided the tightrope procedure. We felt the TPLO procedure was far too invasive for a 10-year-old dog so we decided to go with Dr. Cook and are so happy with our choice.”

“I love the staff at ROCAH, and they take great care of my rottweiler. The staff even says hi to my big pup when he comes into the clinic. It is a small clinic, but they are passionate about the animals they take care of. My dog does not like getting his nails done - absolutely despises it. The staff help work with me and my pup to get the job done. I've had a bad experience at a different clinic in regards to my dogs breed, so coming to ROCAH is refreshing. Everyone there is so kind, and I don't intend to take my big pup elsewhere for his medical care.”
“We were referred to Eola Point last year after rescuing our dog. They were incredibly patient, kind, and so helpful in navigating pet ownership to a new dog with fear aggression issues. I was nervous for our first visit since I didn't know how exactly our new dog would react to the environment. Even before our visit, the front staff was very thorough on the phone and listened to all of my concerns. Of course safety is top priority- but it really stood out to me that they didn't even know us yet and they took the time to get to know us and our situation. When we explained our experiences thus far in our initial visit, I left feeling truly heard and I knew we found a vet that is treating both the pets and people with compassion and respect! 8 months later, we continue our care here because they have remained exactly who they are since our first steps in. Friendly, kind, personable, caring, intelligent- very thankful to have Eola Point as our vet! Bonus points: they were well prepared for the aggression our dog showed at his first visit. “We have been going her for many years. We have had three dogs, and all have been given excellent care (including dental cleanings, sterilizations, arthritis treatment, anxiety issues, chronic heart conditions, and an ACL surgery). Doctors are willing to work with Chewy Rx orders (some vets are not).When it comes to cost, they seem to be competitive with nearby facilities. In the past, I have called around for prices on pre-planned surgeries, and their cost was neither substantially more nor less than other vets nearby.A friend who owns parrots has told me this hospital is one of the few in the Chicago suburbs who can provide advanced care for birds. I have often seen unusual and exotic pets in their waiting room, including rabbits, parrots, and even a hamster.The entrance drive to their parking lot tends to sneak up on your if you are coming from Montgomery Road. It's almost immediately after you turn, so go slowly and watch for it on your left. Coming on Montgomery from the direction of Ogden Avenue there is a train track. If you are unlucky to catch a freight train, you will be stuck for a while. The nearest overpass for traffic to avoid the train tracks is on Ogden Avenue, so you might as well just wait for the train.”

Old fashioned respect for you and your pets, very good communication and follow through whenever you need anything. They have really gone above and beyond for my sweet boy, currently a cancer patient. Many calls to my home after hours by his vet, the practice owner, working tirelessly to make sure we had the best plan of action - and many hours of research and communication with other specialists on my pets behalf. “Our experience with Dr. Brooks and Dr. Tab was excellent. We had been going there for over 10 years and I can honestly say they extended the life of our dog Teddy under their care. “Dr. Ammon has cared for my family’s dogs since 1997, when we moved to the area. And even now that I live 6 hours away, I still bring my dogs to him for anything beyond routine medical care provided by my local vet.
He is caring, compassionate, thoughtful; he always explains things clearly and thoroughly; he has referred us to specialists when the issue was out of his wheelhouse; and I have always appreciated his candor and honesty when difficulties came up.
My Malamute Sasha had many medical issues over the years, and I believe the excellent care she received at Animal House contributed to her long life (13 years). (Sasha saw many vets at Animal House over her lifetime and they were all fantastic, but she especially loved Dr. Ammon.)
The administrative staff and vet techs are very friendly, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone there clearly cares deeply about animals.

“This is the second holistic vet I've take my puppy to and this time I felt like it was a truly holistic experience. Previous place recommended things such as Simperica Trio and there were no detox options or recommendations post vaccine. Autumn Green provided a homeopathic detox, went into an explanation of why certain foods should be avoided, even suggested switching out the water bowl to a material like glass.My puppy was scratching intensely and is on a raw diet, but I had no idea that fish oil should be avoided, which is found in SmallBatch.Overall a fantastic experience.”
