He not only explained every part of the process but he inspired me he would get it taken care of. And he did not disappoint. He took care of everything including things GMC would not cover. “The transmission went out in my car and I was stranded 45 minutes from home. I requested roadside assistance from my insurance company and Jason and Blake of Alton Area Towing & Repair came to get me. They were polite, professional, and incredibly nice. We took my car to the place listed in my insurance company’s info and it had LONG been out of business. Jason and Blake didn’t complain and simply hooked y car up again and off we went. Along the way to garage #2 I found out their company also did auto repairs. I said “Then let’s go to your shop”. While they checked my car out, Jason gave me a ride to a Taco Bell a couple of miles away. A couple of hours later, Blake called and said he thought he had it working well enough that I could make it home (I DID!). I began the 2 mile walk back and before I’d gone very far, here came Blake to pick me up and give me a ride back to their shop. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve received such good service from a place I wasn’t already familiar with. GREAT people!!”

They were able to repair the puncture and have the vehicle back to me within an hour and a half, even during a hectic morning with a lot going on there. “I was visiting Alton one Friday, and suddenly my low tire pressure indicator came on and said I had one tire with ten psi less than the other three. Not knowing Alton, I googled "tire repair," and found Drakes. I went there about 3:30 PM, and they got me right in. They removed a nail, patched, not plugged, the hole and adjusted the pressure in all the tires. The two men I worked with, Chris and Steve, were the nicest guys you'd ever want to deal with, and provided the best service anyone could ever ask for. Thank you so much, Chris and Steve!”

“AWESOME!! It is nice to know there are still honest mechanics out there. I was on my way to drop my VW off to Glenn's, when it died on me on Broadway in Alton. I have to let it sit for an hour before it will start again. a man pulls in behind me and it turned out to be Glenn. He was running an errand & seen me. Knowing I was bringing it in, he stopped to help. He lifted the hood & knew immediately what was wrong. He went back to the shop, got a fuel pump and tools. came back & changed it right there on the side of the road. We went back to the shop & he looked everything over. He sure knows what he is doing!
