Stopped by the shop looking for a tour but unfortunately they don't run in winter. Lee was kind showed me around the shop and shared a few anecdotes, will be back in the Summer!

This was an interesting mine and the tour guide and trolley driver were both very welcoming and funny. You can tell people love what they do here and have a passion for educating people on mining. The tour guide was a miner for a very long so he was very knowledgeable. A nice tour and I would highly recommend!

I've done a lot of mine tours... actual operating mines and the novelty mine tours such as the Sierra Silver Mine. This tour was one of the best I've ever been on. The tour guides are great. The demonstrations and artifacts are period time, all in all fantastic.

Our 40th anniversary! Go underground! A retired miner is your guide as you walk through the main drift of a real silver mine. Your guide will demonstrate the operation of pneumatic powered mining equipment and share his personal underground experiences as you learn about the modern and historical methods of hard-rock silver mining. On the way to and from the mine, hop aboard Sierra Silver's jitney for a narrated tour of Historic Wallace, Idaho that will give you a look into the colorful history of this 138 year old mining camp. While visiting, enjoy our ice cream parlor and try your luck at gold and gemstone panning.
Open 7 days a week. June, July & Aug 10-4, May, Sept & Mid-Oct 10-2. A new tour starts every 1/2 and takes 1hr & 15 min.
