“Idk if people don't understand what a pake store is but growing up in Hawaii the pake stores were almost always run by grumpy old Asian people lol, but in return they have better prices than the gas stations and a pretty good selection of things you won't find just anywhere. I saw a reviews of people complaining about the old guy being rude and grumpy but all the times I came here and he was here it wasn't ever such a big deal that I wanted them to lose their business. ‍ just saying”

“If you’re looking for sake of all ranges of quality, including ones that are exquisitely made with care and concerned for both production and sourcing of materials, go to this shop. The woman who helped me (maybe the owner?) was knowledgeable and kind, which is something that makes me want to frequent this local business even more. There are also some accessories, and drinking vessels.”

“If you need something, they probably have it. This is a quaint more than a liquor store kind of store, where they sell goodies and supplies and where you are always greeted with a smile. The beer is cold and the food is hot.”

“The sales associates here are so passionate (and so good at the ~art of the sale~) that it’s worth going just to experience the rare joy of enjoying spending money on Oahu. They frequently have tastings of rather good, affordable wines at the front counter. Très magnifique!”

“One of the few places where you can get authentic Japanese groceries. Prices are a bit high, but not too bad. They have a good selection of fresh fish and produce. The meat section is a bit limited. Great selection of imported Japanese stuff. Also a great selection of Japanese hardware, office supplies, clothes, etc.”

“Located in the industrial part near the airport. Map will say you arrived but keep driving further and itll be on the right side. You walk in and see an office look. Just tell the receptionist what you want to purchase and you will sign in then enter another room. Theres a variety of authentic stuff from Japan (sushi knives, bowls, pots and pans and sake). Good quality so expect to pay a price.”

“Such an experience of the variety of beers, wine, and spirits. And the knowledge of their staff to guide you to the choice of the beverage you came looking for. I usually end my bike tour around Ewa Beach with a stop here for just the right IPA before taking it to the Thai restaurant in the plaza where it will compliment my meal. Yum”

“Mom and Pop store..If you want a local experience, get it now. Its a remaining experience from the ole days where bursting out of every nok are snacks, treats, instant grats..it takes me back to the 70s bra, if you get em..of course beers, liquor and dakine stuffs..it cannot sustain for much longer because of increase costs to the store( insurance increases and rent) and true to local they not pass on cost to consumer. So Stop by and buy and give em an Aloha before they close for good. I been buying kegs from them for years. I will miss it dearly.”

“Went for 1 item, wasn't sure if they would carry the product. The angels were with me because despite crazy drivers, ridiculous rain and absurd winds, I was able to purchase this item without a problem. Oh, and for the first time I paid contactless ..... super weird but oddly satisfying.”

“Nii Superette is a hidden gem on Oahu! When I decided to be sober and researched alcohol-alternative beverages, I stumbled upon this one-in-a-million store! Steven is nothing short of an alcohol-free "sommelier" and I look forward to his wisdom and guidance with each visit!”

“It's a decent convince store that's locally owned and operated. It can seem cluttered at the register, and the back half of the store could use more lighting”

“They are nice people, and they sell the "MNKE BARS" disposable nicotine vapes, the best kind there is, that last 3x the amount of any other disposable vape.”

“Spam musubi comes in two styles: wet, where the spam is caramelized in a sweet shoyu glaze, and dry, simply pan-fried for a salty crunch. Wet brings a burst of sweet and savory, while dry offers a straightforward spam flavor. The spam musubi here at Middle Street Market is a dry version giving it a straightforward spam experience where the spam is the star giving it a clean, classic spam flavor. The same technique is applied to their red hotdog musubi. That being said the spam musubi here lives up to my expectations and more. the rice was fluffy and well cooked while the nori held everything nicely together. The portion is the normal size of any other spam musubi. Overall I would definitely recommend Middle Street Market because I know I will be back.”

“They make a really good spam musubi and also sell some good bentos made fresh daily. Not bad for a liquor store. It's a good place to grab a snack if you're hungry and don't wait. They also make sandwiches which I haven't tried yet. Owner is very nice and helpful.”

“Picked up a 2012 Sassicaia here- this will b our christmas bottle this yr. The price seemed reasonable. Yvonne was very friendly. They also have Tignanello and Ornelaia although both still young.”

“Nice shop that’s packed. Has a good selection of some of the harder to find whiskeys that aren’t allocated as well as plenty of wines. Gentleman who runs the shop is super personable and tries to give back as much as he can to regulars. Worth a quick pop in to see what’s in.”

“Tamura's is a little local community gem. The store is older and they are not as stocked as some of the chain monsters are. However, I find the pricing and inventory to be more than adequate. The parking lot is a decent size and their hours of operation are also decent. Little bit of everything here, from ice to liquor and beer to snacks + the regular grocery store items.”

“Nice option, however seem like they do t understand supply and demand or maybe it's just hard to get certain items. Buffalo Trace is highly desired but it's seem they only get one case every few months.”

“Literally a mini mart...Located on the corner of Ward and Halekuwila across Longs Go-rae is a very tiny mini mart is basically a place to be for snacks and to quench your thirst and is the place for $8 bento which is a nice combination mix plate filled with variety of meats on rice as well as spam musubi.Get there early for the best variety as at times when I swing by after work for there wasn't that many choices as all musubis were sold out but did manage to grab one of their spicy pork bento. Their spam musubi is cooked in some. shoyu sugar sauce which is nice and is topped on a generous amount of rice.Parking is available right in front or along the side of the building as well, the owners are just quietly manning the shop sitting there until you're ready, but are nice and friendly as I asked what each items in the variety of bentos, a great convenience for value and yummy munchies.Thank you!”

“Who would have thought a liquor store would have decent Vietnamese food at reasonable prices? I was here for 30 minutes and only saw people getting food. Maybe they should change the name of their shop. This place is in the Pacific Grand condo. Entry is through the lobby or through a back door. Menu on the lobby door is out of date. Prices are $2-$3 higher now. Don't let that deter you. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. They will even let you order stuff not on the menu. I ordered the spicy lemongrass chicken but on rice noodle (bun) instead of rice. It came with a small basic salad. For $13 I thought it was a fair price. Not huge, but filling enough. They have 4 tables in the store for dine in which is convenient. And hey, if you need a liter of Vodka, or a 40 to go, they have that also. Brown bags optional.”
