If I could give a negative 500 stars I would. They don't know how to process a name change and order two debit cards. Its been 4 weeks since I first requested my cards. They ordered it for the wrong account, then they accidentally put one of my cards in the shred bin.

In person service is good. Online services are awful. App doesn't work well at all, and always bugs out with login info. Now Kailua branch no longer has a notary (I went there about 8 months ago for notary so this is a new thing). I waited on the phone for 25 minutes to be told that since there is no info about it online. I was told Kaneohe branch does although there seem to be no appointments available for the foreseeable future. If I am paying for these services with my account, I expect to get them.Lots of hidden costs with accounts. Don't recommend.

As other valued customers have mentioned. Phone service is next to non-existent. There’s no way to get a hold of anybody in a hurry if there’s any sort of an exigent issue.

I’ve been waiting almost twenty minutes on the phone to talk to someone to ask a simple question. I’ve never had a bank have such inaccessible customer service.

Horrible customer service. Your better off going in person to a bank teller versus being on the phone for two hours waiting to talk to a rep.

By far the worst bank I’ve used. Their customer service is non existent. I had to call them for an issue with my debit card and waited for an hour and half just to be able to use MY money. I went in to close my account, which they were unable to do because of a pending charge from a gas station. So I left 100 in my account to cover the pending charge. I then had to come in AGAIN the next day to finalize closing my account only to be told I had a fee for not having the minimum required amount for the savings account that i closed the day before. Do yourself a favor and bank ANYWHERE else.

Bank of Hawaii is the worst bank I’ve ever used. If you have an issue with your debit or credit card you won’t be able to use it because they don’t answer the phone on weekends (which is when the majority of people can shop) and during the week the wait time is around an hour. I switched to American savings and it took me 5 minutes to get ahold of a representative who helped me with my issue.

If you go in, it's great service. The phone system, however, is worthless, unless you have plenty do keep you busy while on hold.

If l could give -5 l would. It takes over 1 hour every time l call. I have asked 4 tines to close my account, l have sent a written letter, l have spoken to 5 people , after waiting more than an hour, each said they would call me back by the end of the day, no one ever called back.

One of the individuals that works there Terri Morgan has been cheating with my fiancé and giving him all of my bank information without my permission. I’m in the process of making a formal complaint because HE IS NOT on my account. There should be some type of reprimand for this behavior. Kailua Bank of Hawaii
