“I had originally booked a car with Thrifty, but after reading their horrible reviews, I cancelled and booked with Enterprise. I didn't want to ruin the start of my vacation with a bad rental car experience. Enterprise had the best reviews at this airport, so I went with them even though it cost $80 more than Thrifty. I'm glad I did. The shuttle from the airport picked us up within a few minutes and we didn't have to wait at all when we got to Enterprise. We were driving away 10 minutes later in an almost new Nissan Sentra SV. The car only had 1700 miles on it and was much nicer than I expected. It even had adaptive cruise control, and it got great mileage. Returning the car took just a few minutes and the shuttle took us to the airport immediately. I really can't imagine how they could've done any better with us. Just a totally great and pain free experience. They are my new fave car rental company.”

In addition to just having a faster friendlier customer service process, the employees are always kind and happy. My most recent trip Tyler Y, at the KOA airport location was so helpful and friendly and really made my travel that day so much better! Shoutout to him for being awesome!!”

“We rented a Kia SUV from Gary and Diane. Best best best deal and service on the island! For starters it is like renting from family. We ended up extending our stay multiple times. They were so flexible. Diane picked us up at the airport with the Kia. No standing in line or taking a shuttle. She dropped us off when we left. Prices are very reasonable and our ride was great. Wish I could give them more stars! Very nice people!!”

“First time in Hawaii, landed late after flying for over 24+ hours only to check in with a different car rental company(Hertz) which I had reserved in advance long story short. It was the most terrible rental experience I have ever had. It was late, stranded at the airport without a backup option, to tired and het lagged to even think straight. I literally walked over to Avis in hopes to find something that would suffice. Avis was a much better experience.I was pleasantly greeted by Ben as I walked in. It was a completely different atmosphere I just left. Not only did Ben greet me with the positive Hawaiian spirit I had heard so much about, he got me not an only a car but a better car then I previously had reserved…a convertible. I decided to write the review after my trip, I just finished my month in Hawaii, I have to say the start to the trip and the car completely changed my trip in the best way. The journey from almost being stranded for the night and taking a taxi across island to cruising in a convertible is something I will always remember.Ben literally saved our trip not only with doing his job properly but also with his he genuinely positive and helpful spirit. Thanks for everything. Avis was great.”

“I highly recommend you sign up for Hertz rewards. They have a separate line for members which meant I was able to bypass the line of ten other visitors waiting for their cars. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were all really funny and full of life”

“We were pretty nervous to rent from Payless after reading so many horror reviews on here. Yet they had the best price on the island. $150 for 3 days when everyone else wanted $300-500 so we decided to “risk it” and I am glad we did. We had no issues whatsoever with Payless, got what we paid for and no extra bogus charged or pressure to add insurance etc. very smooth easy experience.”

We came during rush hour (12:00 pm) and the employees were fast, super friendly and gave us recommendations for shops and tattoos. I feel very happy with my rental and the price.”

“I don't know if this will get to management, but the employee who served me, Aleda, was an absolute star and you should feel lucky to have her. Our experience was great. She was informed and knowledgeable and kind. You can tell this is a busy location, we waited a while, plus the Iron Man was coming up so things were going to be nuts for sure, but she was the sweetest, kindest and one of the best sales rep experiences I have had. EVER. Aleda, if you see this, thank you again for your patience, your kindness and for your service with a smile. I'm glad we could laugh and joke together and that our interaction helped your hectic day as much as it helped our hectic travel day and stay on the big island.”
