“We rented a Kia SUV from Gary and Diane. Best best best deal and service on the island! For starters it is like renting from family. We ended up extending our stay multiple times. They were so flexible. Diane picked us up at the airport with the Kia. No standing in line or taking a shuttle. She dropped us off when we left. Prices are very reasonable and our ride was great. Wish I could give them more stars! Very nice people!!”
“We had a very pleasant experience with Payless rental, their shuttle drivers were extremely friendly and helpful and were constantly helping with passengers' luggage's big or small. There was quite a line but it was moved efficiently. We signed up for a suv and asked specifically if we may have a jap suv for fuel efficiency and drivability. There was no aggressive selling pitches and everyone seemed quite happy working there. No issue or over charge when returned. And the price was competitive.”

“During our stay in Kona, my wife became physically ill and was barely able to move. Robert, the shuttle driver was amazing. He had to use the electric ramp to assist in loading. When we arrived at the airport, Robert managed to aquire a wheelchair for my wife.

1st off, I am amazed by the number of complaints about waiting times... ITS HAWAII! It would be ridiculous to expect there not to be lines at ALL rental places in this place we call paradise!
No specifically for me, the service was wonderful. I was already happy with the service when picking up a car, but do to iron man they didn't have the car I rented so they gave me a minivan and told me to return after the weekend and exchange it for the economy car. I came back, the exchange was super quick. The next day, we realized that my wife's sunglasses were in the van we just traded. I went to them in the morning and the ladies were so genuine in wanting to help! I wish I had got their name, but one of the ladies spent almost 20 minutes to track down and go across the street to search the van. She found the sunglasses and again, couldn't be more friendly! Mahalo Nui!”

“Rented a standard SUV but the lady checking us out told us about the road/4x4 restrictions so we upgraded. Shayna (sorry if that’s not spelled correctly!) was an excellent help when checking out. The first car had a defect so she immediately exchanged it , gave us a map, was knowledgeable about the insurance needs etc. the car so far has been great.”
