“No parking. But that's the only thing wrong. This business is efficient and thorough. We needed our flooring tested and paid under $20. If you don't want to wait, you can pay more for a quick turnaround. We weren't in a rush, and it was still quick enough! Great service! We will use them again the next time”

“Efficient office and nice staff! My doctor sent over the info and Insight called me the same day and also squeezed me in same day. Thanks for making it easy for me!”

“This review is for Straub Hawaii Kai Physical Therapy. I absolutely love the care Abe Shimoda provided me with while I was in the physical therapy part of my treatment plan. I received a referral to see Abe two times prior to being approved for further courses of action. He ended up being the perfect match for me as we have the same personality and shared interests. I didn’t like prior experiences with physical therapy but Abe changed that experience for me. He did a very thorough evaluation and took the time to listen to my concerns so that he would be better able to meet my needs. He is a very good teacher and demonstrated and explained the exercises I’d be doing at home. Very good communication via my chart as well. I’m so thankful for Straub for having people like Abe. I could not have done any of this process without him. I really hoped to see Abe for my post surgery PT but I learned there are only a few PTs at Hawaii Kai now so his schedule is full. It’s unfortunate that Straub seems to be downgrading their PT Department at Hawaii Kai.”

“When your Primary Care Physician requests for a regular blood test, you're obligated to go and visit a DLS nearest you. Finding a Clinical Lab is easy using your Yelp App. There are many locations in Honolulu and all of Oahu. No appointment necessary, walk-ins welcome for same day visits. First of all, parking is amazing! On a Saturday when it's not a busy work day, there was only one patient ahead of me. Plenty of parking, and it can be paid simply by scanning the QR code on the parking booth right out front. There are other businesses in Kaheka Professional Building that also share the same parking. Staff were fast, efficient and friendly, I was in and out within 10 minutes. By the end of the afternoon, I received an email of my Chart Lab Results which I believe also gets forwarded to my PCP.”

“Very fast and easy place to get my drug screening finished in a timely fashion.I tried to call and make an appointment, but the answering machine said they take walk ins, so that's what I did.I found parking and put in 40 minutes into the meter. I was back at my car with 20 minutes to spare.I'll go back the next time I get randomly tested.”

“Bring your Legal ID and Medical Card. They are professionals so this is the best place to get your blood work done. Always confused by the buildings (6) six elevators why they take so long to get to you. On Floor (5) Five. At the End of the Hall. Free Parking.”

“My telemedicine call with Dr. Jose at Adventist Health Urgent Care was fantastic. Dr. Jose was professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She listened to my concerns, explained my diagnosis clearly, and answered all my questions. This experience reaffirmed my trust in telemedicine. Highly recommend Dr. Jose and Adventist Health Urgent Care for virtual healthcare.”

“I think ALL phlebotomists deserve a hand for what they do. Its not always appreciated because we dislike being poked right? PLUS, I'm a tough draw. Frequently takes two pokes sometimes as many as FOUR! By then the poor 1st phlebotomist (with best intentions) usually resort to calling that one with the super powers, xray vision to find my hiding, rolling vein! Almost always leads to using butterfly on my hand but I never ask..I just allow them to do their job. One phlebotomist was so funny, she said..tell them "go center, go deep"! Sounds kinda like football terms to me!! I listened and thats what I tell them. One phlebotomist said she listened to that and admitted.." I went in blind" ...as in blind faith? She couldn't feel any vein. She GOT IT 1st crack!! She said you oughta tatoo that spot! 1st time at this JCCH branch. It was great despite being shorthanded by 1 person I was still in & out in less than 30 min When you exit elevators Turn right Head up the stairs (going towards beretania) its on the left Friendly, efficient, great service! Kahala was good too But this one is closer.”

“Parking is a little hairy (avoid early hours when fasting customers are rushing to get in) and the elevator is a bit antiquated, but the employees at Kapahulu DLS make it my DLS branch of choice! Jocelyn is extremely friendly and professional. When my doctor's office forgot to call in the order, she quickly handled it. She didn't know how much pressure I was under and lifted my spirits with her smile and bubbly personality. Every other worker I've encountered here has displayed the utmost in courtesy and professionalism as well. :)”

“While in Honolulu, I developed a fever and visited the hospital. Since I had overseas travel insurance, when I informed them of this, they quickly prepared the documents and handled the situation cashlessly. There was a Japanese interpreter at the reception desk, which made me feel at ease. The nurse was friendly and explained things to me in Japanese, and the doctor was accompanied by an interpreter, so I had a good understanding of the diagnosis, treatment methods, and medications.Thankfully, after taking some medicine and taking a nap, I felt better and was able to continue sightseeing.”

“I was a little wary of coming here since the 2 most recent reviews weren't so stellar, but I was pleasantly surprised. I did take the advice of a previous reviewer and parked in the metered stalls in front of JABSOM. It was $1.50 per hour, although I only needed 30 minutes at most. It's about a half block from the building, so not too bad. The parking structure was $3.00 per half hour, so that's not too bad too if you don't want to walk. The office is located on the 4th floor. I didn't make an appointment and arrived around 8:40 am on a Tuesday and was able to be taken right away. The staff was quick and professional.”

“Had to do a drug screen test for a job, so I went to the lab at the airport location. Finding it was so easy and the parking area was big and free. Walked in 10 mins early for my appt. and they took me right in. The staff was friendly, BUT nobody was more nicer and funnier than Ikaika the technician. He was very patient and explained everything as drug testing has very strict protocal. We had a great conversation about being local and laughed about everything local. I am very sure all the staff are very talented concerning their work, but Ikaika took it one step further with his great aloha spirit. He definitly should be the Clinical Labs spokesperson.”

“The red tape on the toilet tank is the only thing that stops this business from getting five stars. I went in yesterday for a pre-employment UA. Service was prompt, professional and with aloha. Once I'd filled the cup I got up to flush and noticed red tape all over the tank and handle. I figured it was for the tank. I've administered and taken many UA's and never been told not to flush. The guy who was helping me knocked on the door and scolded me jokingly and told me that was what the red tape was for: to stop me from flushing. Maybe change your procedure to tell people or put up a sign? He assured me I didn't flunk the test but hello, a person's livelihood is at stake here.”

“They have a pretty basic setup here: check-in desk, 2 blood-drawing stations, back room--I've never been in there--and a restroom. There's no real frills or ambiance to speak of, and now with COVID going on, there's no seating inside either. BUT everything is immaculately clean, neat & tidy, and the staff is nice. There's ample parking ($1 for first hour with validation, unless you're in & out of the structure in under 10 minutes, then it's free), and the location is literally right off & on the freeway. For me, that's basically everything I need in a testing place!I've gone 3 times now for various types of testing, and never had any problems. Seems like results always come back in a reasonable amount of time, and the staff is pretty good at estimating when that will be (but I've noticed that you usually have to ask).”

“When I came to check in the person was very nice. However, he couldn't not find my blood test order from my dr. So I called the dr office and they fax it. He then took my blood asap. Thank you!”

“My second time getting my blood drawn here and I'll definitely will continue to come here. The person who helped me today I believe his name is Harris he's Vietnamese was amazing. He understood my fear for needles and habit of fainting during a blood drawn. He was gentle and comforting. This means the world to someone who always faint during a blood drawn. He allowed me to lay down as it was happening and my husband was back there with me. They are sweet here and very sanitary. Parking is free as well!”

“I got lucky number 88. Worker acknowledged, informed me to please take a number and have a seat. Please have your valid photo ID and medical insurance card ready for worker during check in procedure. There's another customer who arrived and did the same steps. Waited patiently for about 10 minutes. I wondered what's the hold up. I observed her helping another customer at a separate room. I realized Arleen is one woman who runs the entire location with a smile and efficiency. I asked her if she will receive any more help from staff today. She said, "No. They're not going to bring in any more help." She found veins in my right and left arm, noticed left arm looked more noticeable. One poke in left vein and she withdrew four vials of blood. She informed me to apply pressure here with gauze, wrapped my left arm with lime green bandage, leave on for at least 15 mins and no more than 1 hour. I acknowledged understanding. Get your parking sticker for ticket validation before leaving the office. Please be patient as there's only one phlebotomist running the entire office. If time is a concern, please consider visiting another DLS location. Got free validated parking in Waterfront Plaza. Success!”

“I didn’t attend the facility but earlier today, I called and explained my situation with my toddler son. They were honest and I am so happy they gave me a recommendation to a great children’s hospital- they were absolutely right! The hospital did need to give an IV and they were wonderful. Though they couldn’t help me as originally intended, they did help me wonderfully in getting my son proper care. Thank you.”

“SO fast and helpful! I threw out my back and was worried about an upcoming 9 hour flight while being unable to sit up or walk. The doctor was quick and compassionate and I had a prescription within two hours. Managed to have a painless last day in Waikiki and a comfortable flight home!”

“I had a fasting lab to have pulled and I had many locations to choose from. It was most convenient for me to choose the one by Ala Moana inside the Bank of Hawai'i building, the fifth floor. They opened up at 7am which was a great fit for me. I was there a few minuets before they opened and there was one person waiting ahead of me. They opened right on time. Their office is very clean and organized. I was warmly helped by Alexis and after she updated my personal information and she took me right back. Alexis was just as efficient, and very hygienic with drawing my blood. We had a friendly conversation and when we were back out front I asked if there was a way I could see my lab results and she went through how to do that. This was an excellent experience and I would not have any issue bringing a loved or or recommending to anyone.”

“I've been told my veins are difficult to find and get on the first try. As a reference the ER at Queen's missed three times and they brought in an ultrasound device to find it. Nikki got it on the first try every time I've seen her she is awesome.”

“I needed to get a blood test done for an upcoming scan and was told I needed it by Monday. They close at 12:30pm on Saturday and I'd gotten there at 12:27 or so. Michelle at DLS was so nice and kind and did four draws requested by four of my doctors. Michelle was fantastic and took great care of me. Mahalo DLS Liliha and Mahalo Michelle!”

“Came here to do my blood draw because my doctor referred me here and it was one of the only two locations that could do the certain type of blood draw that I was ordered to do. It is located on the first floor of the Kuakini Plaza and there is a small waiting area. You just grab a number card and wait to be called. I came in around 7AM and there were 6 people ahead of me. The wait was not too bad as there were three workers seeing patients continuously. I got in around 7:20. The ladies were super friendly and was quick to get me in and out. Even though I had a special test where they had to heat up the containers (I had to wait an extra 10mins). I was out before 8AM. Do keep in mind that some of the tests that your doctors order through DLS don't know some of the procedures that need to be followed. I came here on a Friday for the same test, but because my test required the samples to be shipped, the test had to be done Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday only. It is best to call and let them know what test you need and they should let you know what days are best to come or do prior to visiting.”
