“The facility was easy to find and had lots of available parking spaces. When I walked inside, it was very clean. The phlebotomist took me in immediately and was really friendly and professional. She drew my blood quickly and I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes! I highly recommend these folks! :)”

“As always, I’m deathly afraid of needles and my anxiety usually gets the best of me and I need trusted family or a friend to go with me. This time, the morning of August 4, 2023, I decided to stop by the lab since I was already in the area for an existing appointment with my doctor. As I entered this office I was promptly greeted by a female attendant who immediately asked if I needed help. I replied I did and she requested my identification and while reviewing my lab request she noticed an error for my last name being misspelled and stated she’d correct it and then directed me to an area where blood is drawn. I explained my fear and asked if she could use the smallest needle available to which she replied she would and told me she would take good care of me. Knowing I’ve heard this before I was skeptical but she looked at me directly with an assured stare, told me to look away, take a deep breath, exhale and relax. I honestly did not feel a thing. I can honestly say that Melody, has absolutely been the most gentle, gracious and confident person that has drawn my blood . I can say that there are less than a hand full of technicians that have ever had that effect on me. Again thank you Melody!”

“January 23,2024. Just had bloodwork done at the Diagnostic Laboratory here in Pearlridge. I am happy to say the care was excellent. The lady Lisa, who took care of me, was very efficient. So thankful cause the last time I got bloodwork I got jabbed three times. Very stressful. The lab here is clean. The service was swift, the lady knew her job well and drew blood the first try. I was very relieved. I went late morning when it wasn't busy. I give her 5 stars”

“My doctor ordered a blood test and urine test to make sure my new Keto diet was good for my health. Clinical Labs made it soo easy to set-up an appointment online and being open on the weekend is always appreciated by us office workers! I came in for my appointment and with a very short wait time of 2 mins they took me in, took my blood and urine within 10 mins, so amazing! The staff was friendly and quick, I felt like they knew what they were doing, which is important to me. My results came out the next day and I was able to view the results through the Straub app, I don't know how to read the results but I'm glad I was able to read that I'm not diabetic, that's all I could read though lol. I want to thank the staff for their knowledge and quick service!”

“The only place that I will go to get blood work done is Clinical Labs of Hawaii. They are quick, efficient and painless. The staff is quite helpful as well as friendly. The office is clean and speaks of social distancing everywhere.”

“I use to go to DLS in Mililani but every time I would go there, they had people waiting and you always get a different person. There was times when I got my blood drawn and it would hurt and my arm would bruise. Then, I decided to travel to Clinical Labs since I would be in the Pearlridge area. I'm so glad that I found this place.I'm terrified of needles and Edna is so amazing. I showed her my bruise that DLS left me and she told me from now on, you come to me. I've been to Clinical Labs to see Edna 4 times and she is great. She told me what needle they should've been using because I have little veins. I don't clam up when I go to see her. I feel really comfortable and I hardly feel the needle going in. I haven't had any bruising. Also, she is the only one that does the blood work so I'm happy that I can just go to her.If you are like me and don't like needles and different people poking your arm then go here. Explain to her if your scared. She will make you feel comfortable. The building is old and the office as well but that doesn't bother me at all.I wish I found this place years ago. I will keep making the drive out when I have to do blood work. Please try Clinical Labs at this location and make an appointment as well if you want to. Walk-ins are welcomed. I tried both.”

“It was a pleasure to be able to be seen by Dr. Chen. He takes his time with you as a patient and makes sure you have all the information before you need to make a decision. I did not feel as if he was trying to sway my decision but gave facts and then let me as the patient decide. The staff was awesome too! Thank you Dr. Chen and staff, I couldn’t recommend your practice highly enough!”

“I'm so glad this location is open again! Apparently, I'm not the only one who said that. They closed temporarily due to the pandemic. I went to their other branch when they closed and didn't feel as comfortable. This place can get quite filled and you have to pick a number and wait your turn. Being a Saturday, I was lucky that the wait wasn't as long as I expected. Liz acknowledged my presence and took my blood shortly afterwards. Her demeanor was very pleasant and professional. As inquisitive as I am, I asked her a few questions which she patiently answered. She told me to have a good day when the procedure was done. As I passed the front office counter on my way out, Noelle stopped what she was doing, looked at me and told me to have a nice day too. I mentioned to her how glad I was that they reopened. She commented that she was glad to be back at this branch. Liz also mentioned the same thing earlier. They've got my "five stars" because I've always had pleasant visits even with different people helping me.”

“Tuesday morning on August 1, 2023 I arrived at the Diagnostic Laboratory Service in Kapolei Marketplace to do my blood works. I noticed there were several people inside the establishment already. I grabbed a paper ticket and waited patiently for my turn. In less than five minutes I heard someone say "99". I looked down at the paper ticket and seen the number 99. I handed the female worker my state identification card and gave her my phone number as well as the info on who the blood work results should be sent to. I followed the worker to a room where my blood works took place. The wahine employee informed me that her name is Angela and that she'll do the process of withdrawing blood from my arm. Two vials were filled and the blood was taken from the left arm. Throughout the process I had my eyes closed since I don't really care for needles. Diagnostic Laboratory Service in Kapolei Marketplace will be my go to place for blood works. After all get several choices of food establishments nearby in case I get hungry.”

“Fast service if you show up early. Otherwise grab a ticket and wait in line. Make ready to show I.D. and insurance card. Experienced staff, needle goes in with little pain unless you are a hard stick, one try is good enough.”

“Had to do a drug screen test for a job, so I went to the lab at the airport location. Finding it was so easy and the parking area was big and free. Walked in 10 mins early for my appt. and they took me right in. The staff was friendly, BUT nobody was more nicer and funnier than Ikaika the technician. He was very patient and explained everything as drug testing has very strict protocal. We had a great conversation about being local and laughed about everything local. I am very sure all the staff are very talented concerning their work, but Ikaika took it one step further with his great aloha spirit. He definitly should be the Clinical Labs spokesperson.”

“The red tape on the toilet tank is the only thing that stops this business from getting five stars. I went in yesterday for a pre-employment UA. Service was prompt, professional and with aloha. Once I'd filled the cup I got up to flush and noticed red tape all over the tank and handle. I figured it was for the tank. I've administered and taken many UA's and never been told not to flush. The guy who was helping me knocked on the door and scolded me jokingly and told me that was what the red tape was for: to stop me from flushing. Maybe change your procedure to tell people or put up a sign? He assured me I didn't flunk the test but hello, a person's livelihood is at stake here.”

“I was very happy with the service I received at the Aiea location. Kawai was very good at managing the patients by herself and 1 trainee. Usually staffed with three phlebotomists, she managed 4 patients: 2 children and 2 adults. She did an excellent job finding my vein and taking my blood.”

“This lab opens early which is great! The workers here are very friendly and the phlebotomist who took my blood was able to locate my vein quickly on my left arm. We small talked a bit and that put me at ease. This location is located in the same parking area as Nanding's Bakery, it's right across from it. It's also within walking distance from Waipahu Zippy's.”

“I absolutely hate having my blood drawn. Hate it, avoid it, dread it, everything in between. However, about a week ago, on 12-22-2020, at about 11:30 AM, I had to get my blood drawn, and it was the most painless withdrawal I've ever experienced. Seriously! I regret not getting the phlebotomist's name, but he was a young, local/Filipino guy, and if everyone could make a request for him to be their official phlebotomist when they get blood drawn, they'd probably enter/exit that place happier. The 4 stars is for the phlebotomist. The star deducted is for the wait that I had to endure. It took about 35 minutes(!) for someone to come outside and take me in for the withdrawal. I understand it's pandemic precautions, so they aren't letting everyone in at the same time. But, man, perhaps one of the employees can step outside every 10 minutes and let the line of myself and 10 other people know, "Someone will be with you folks shortly. Thank you for your patience" Orrr something.”

“I took my 3 hour glucose test here today, personally, I had such good service from brittani & Mel. They were both so kind, patient, and knew how to draw blood quickly. They both did amazing and I appreciated how on it they were over the course of 3 hours. They even let me wait in my car. Thank you brittani and Mel! I appreciated the kind customer service :)”

“I was expecting rude people or something but that wasnt my experience. I came at 815 (wanted to beat the crowd). Done at 0843. They don't open until 0830. The nurse or tech was professional but not overly friendly. Honestly I didn't need her to be. She was just normal mainland friendly. Wham, bam, thank you maam.”

“9-20-21 I visited this location at Straub Kapolei, Ka MakanaAlii by Pet Smart. Had gone in for my regular 6 month check up and my favorite internist asked, Can you take a urine test today? The computer showed I was overdue for one. Sure. His office is on the 2 Nd floor and the lab is on the first floor next to the elevator. The lab door is closed so you take a number then press a button. A tech will come to get you. They are so nice. My doctor gave me the paperwork but told me to say, Only one urine test. The woman who took me inside gave me the "cup" which I dread the most with my name written on it. Truthfully I rather have several vials of blood taken instead. For this and only this reason alone I think being a male is easier to collect a specimen for this lab test. I asked the two female techs is there a trick to do this? They both shared their technique and we had a good laugh. When I was done one of them asked, Success? Yup as I placed the capped container in the basket. Glad that was over.”
