“Never thought I ever needed to call a tow company for service, but here I am writing this review for this amazing business.My husband unfortunately locked himself out of his Toyota Celsior while I was at work. I don't have his spare key as it was in the house, which my husband couldn't access since he locked his car keys and house keys in the trunk along with his phone. Long story short, he was able to call me (via his earphones and google assistant) to tell me that he locked his keys in his car, but I couldn't call him back.I first tried Triple A, but they couldn't help me since I wasn't physically with my husband. So I got on Yelp and looked up Tow Businesses near our place. Tow Star Towing & Recovery was the first 5-star listing I saw with a super close distance to our house.I immediately called the number listed, and Wahren answered super quickly. It was my first time calling a tow company, so I was pretty nervous; however, Wahren was super easygoing and didn't make me feel nervous at all.Wahren told me that he provides a lockout service for $85. I immediately asked if he could assist my husband, who I assumed was leaving the house and in a rush. (I couldn't confirm with my husband since I couldn't call him back.) Wahren told me yes he can help except he had another appointment and it would be about an hour until he could meet my husband and if it was okay if he could wait that long; however, when I provided Wahren with my address, he told me he could actually squeeze my husband in before his next appointment since he was only 20 mins away. I provided my husband's whereabouts since I assumed he was home, but it was difficult to confirm since Wahren needed a contact number in case he couldn't find my husband. I was able to reach my husband's friend, who could be his point of contact and be there until Wahren showed up.Wahren was able to meet my husband, but unfortunately, he could not unlock the Celsior. Wahren then referred his friend, who is a locksmith, Shaun Henna, Owner of ULTRA Lock & Key. Wahren left, and my husband waited for Shaun.Despite not being able to recover my husband's keys, Wahren was friendly and eager to help and easy to talk to. I really appreciated that he went out of his way to provide a service to my husband, and although it couldn't be done, he still did his best. I hope I never have to call Wahren for a tow, but he will surely be my referral to anyone who needs it. Thanks again, Wahren!”

“I was on my lunch break and called to see if they had the tire I needed my old tire was wearing out and I was referred to them by Rocky next door. Before I got there I called to ask how long it would take because my lunch is short, once I got there they worked on my tire and in less than 10 minutes everything was good and changed out and I got back to work in time !! Great service was provided and much appreciated!!”

“I had the fortune of finding Gomes' services via a simple Google search. They were the closest place listed for a safety inspection. I called, and was helped right away and given an appointment to come in a couple of days later. When I drove out, I realized I had passed their business many times but just didn't know they were tucked right off the main road. The service provided was friendly, fast and professional. Everyone interacted with seemed to be happy to see me and also happy to be working there. I do a lot of my own work, but people always ask me if I can recommend a good place to get their vehicle repaired. “After many trials and even my husband riding the bus to get our other car, we gave up. Called all 24hrs, near me towing companies and the only one answering the phone and willing to come and dig us of the sand hole was RJ's.Because of the distance we needed to wait for the employee ( I am so sorry for not asking for names but I was cold and rain didn't stopped) to check with the manager if they will be able to come. Luckily they approved and gave us a 1 to 2 hrs time line and 200 to 400 cost. Doesn't not matter we really where 4 wheels deep in sand.Luckily didn't took 2 hrs and from 23.31 pm that I made the first call to 00.47 that he and his partner arrived to Punaluu we where free by 01.20 and inside the estimated price, they made sure we where not going to get stuck again and left.Thank you so much for answering your phones and being honest in estimated, time frames, and advertising the correct working times! Specially in a friday night before the 4th of July.Gracias totales!!!”

“Very experienced! A van was stuck on my steep driveway. Another tow company was called at first; 2 guys worked 5 hours and still couldn't remove the van. Advanced Towing was called at 9pm and in under 10 minutes, the two guys from Advanced got the van out of the difficult postion. It was pinned against a wall and tilted sideways, balancing on 3 wheels. It was no problem for Kenny and Shane! Mahalo nui loa!!!”

After my insurance company failed repeatedly to find a tow truck, that review is the one that pushed me to call Transport Oahu. Not only is Charlie helpful he diffused my stress and worry with his compassion and kindness. After some back and forth with our insurance company, and a realization that the mechanic shop did not have overnight parking, we arranged for the tow to happen the following morning (without my insurance covering it). He offered us a Kamaʻāina rate and was able to arrive before our arranged time. He got the car to the shop for the next phase of our car breakdown saga. I highly recommend this tow truck company, they worked with us when our insurance company left us in a lurch. Mahalo Nui Loa, Charlie!”

“Thank you Darin and Jarin! When you are in a situation you never want to be in, rest easy that they make this part of it easy. We needed a family member's car junk towed asap. Darin was helpful and nice via phone. Jarin his son, came for the actual tow. He answered any questions and helped with making sure our paperwork was in order. Incident happened Wednesday, called Thursday. Had an opening for Saturday morning. Worked out perfectly, we could make sure we had paperwork ready. No one wants to deal with unforeseen situations, but Darin and Jarin gave peace of mind that we can get this taken care of immediately.
