The Vet and tech that visited to provide end of life care for my mother’s cat were genuinely empathetic and kind during the whole process. They took the time to go over the process, what to expect and gave our family the all the time we needed to say goodbye to our pet. Scheduling was easy and professional. This isn’t a service we ever wish to have to go through, but Sweet Dreams made it as comfortable and easy as it could be.

Easy to get same day or week appointments, staff is great when it comes to follow up for annual checkups or med refills.
We went there last week for an annual check up, vaccination and refill of his heartworm med. We were in and out within 40 mis and costed around $285 (annual check up $55 and other for vaccines).

My dogs have stayed at two other places before, and both times were heartbreaking—they looked so sad (especially my Dane) that I genuinely wanted to cut my vacation short and come home. My Great Dane has very bad separation anxiety, so it wasn’t anything that the two places did wrong…it’s just how my pups are when they are away from their family. But THIS place? It’s a completely different story. The moment we pull up, the dogs are ecstatic. Tails wagging, whining with excitement, ready to go in. The difference in their reaction is extraordinary, and it gives total peace of mind knowing they’re genuinely happy and cared for here to the point that they are comfortable enough to be away from us. The owner also always does whatever she can to squeeze our girls in—even when I give short notice. I try to provide ample notice (especially during busy times), but every once in a while I have an unexpected trip pop up. They never make me feel like a burden; they truly seem to enjoy seeing our Great Dane and bulldog just as much as our dogs look forward to seeing them. Over four years and have never had a bad experience. I also recently found out that the funds from their daycare and boarding services go directly toward rescuing and caring for homeless and neglected dogs. Their rescue facility is just two miles down the road, and they’re always actively out helping dogs in need. 10/10 recommend it!

A few weeks with Ironclad K9 Academy in their basic novice class and we had reasonably polite, proper, wholly respectable pups. Okay, so maybe the older one, Ohio was already decently trained and disciplined, but there's nothing wrong with honing and sharpening his skills. Plus, Ohio would not want to pass up the chance to get out, get some fresh air and nosh on some sliced hotdogs. To celebrate their graduation, we had a logo commissioned which we then had emblazoned on some Tervis tumblers.

They have a new menu board and have expanded their drink offerings.

125 E Main St, WoodstockDate night with the wife and we decided to hit up DT Woodstock. The Century House was at the top of our list. It was a beautiful night and the full moon in the backdrop made the restaurant shine. We were immediately seated on the back porch which was still quite comfortable even though it was early January. We started off with a couple of their signature holiday cocktails. Both were delicious. The wife ordered the Honey/Jalapeño Pork Belly app as her entrée and I had the Country Fried Chicken. The chicken and gravy were both so flavorful. I was very impressed. My wife said the same thing about the pork belly. What I was not impressed by was the cold mashed potatoes that my chicken was laying on nor the cold goat cheese grits my wife had as apart of her meal. The temp of the gravy helped. TBH, if the chicken and gravy wasnt so good I would have sent my meal back to the kitchen. Especially considering I paid $30 for my entree. There are many others eateries in the area and we will consider them before decided if we want to eat at the Century House again.

Poor service, which is why I selected 4 stars instead of 5. On NY Eve, 3 of us went to Ipps for lunch. Short hair, blonde waitress showed up 20 mins after our seating; did not greet us but said something like “what can I get you?” Then… we waited nearly an hour for our meal. Not sure if it was a server problem or a kitchen problem, but certainly put the kabosh on the festive NY Eve lunch. Oy vey!

1003 Towne Lk Hls E, WoodstockMy wife and I went there this wkend to try something new…. Very odd location when thinking of a “Tavern” especially in Woodstock! Pulling in we thought we were headed to the wrong place. When we got there I double checked address and it was exact. There is no signage letting you know it’s the restaurant but you can tell by the address you’re at the correct location! It’s nice tucked away almost unnoticed but gives the Country Club Vibe 100%… cart paths leading to and away from it and golfers drinking like it’s their home away from home literally! It’s def a regulars bar but don’t shy away if you’re not! We weren’t looked upon as less than at all just served promptly and efficiently! Entrees were blahhh I got the burger which was cooked perfectly but lacked in seasoning…. Fries were great! Salad is a salad on my wife’s behalf. The one thing I will say was on point is the spinach artichoke dip! Add queso for $3 not a bad deal…. Just wish the chips were more plentiful and also not a Christmas mix color as there is no need especially for presentation purposes. I’m a former KM and if I were serving this I’d just provide normal tortilla chips and include some flour tortillas for dipping and garnish with so parsley for color, the red and green chips are unnecessary! Overall I’d rate it 6/10….
Food quality- 7/10 due to lack of seasoning and chips
Atmosphere - 6/10 due to feeling overwhelmed by golfers and regulars all over the place… maybe it’s different when you go at a later time
Service- 10/10 server was on top of our drinks making sure we were filled and food came out promptly and hot…. Over all I’d give it another shot but may try ordering something different next time but would stick with the spin dip as it was delicious!

Village Burger
9550 Main St Suite 200, WoodstockMy experience at Village Burger was excellent!!! I went on a Friday night and it was busy, but even with that, the staff was very attentive and kind. The food was perfection and was served to us quick enough and it was delicious, (extra points for the draft Mexican beer). I will definitely come back again and I want to thank the staff for being great, especially the young lady named Ximena. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Refuge Rescue
8744 Main St, WoodstockI reached out to Michelle when I took in a dog from a neighbor who did not want him. She did everything in her power to help me find a rescue for him. Luckily I found a loving home and family for him but she worked endlessly too find a foster before I found his forever family! She never made me feel dumb for all of the questions I had. Even when she was busy she had someone to message me back when I reached out. She is an amazing lady and absolutely loves and care for every animal!
