Let me start by saying the maintenance guys are the best thing that will ever happen to this property. Aside from them, it seems Birge and Held is hellbent on ensuring their property managers are the most unequipped, misinformed people to ever hold the title. Now i have debt in collections (despite contacting Mariah Neeley immediately upon moving out) because the property manager didn’t respond to my emails, nor did she alert corporate that i was attempting to pay my move-out debt so that they wouldn’t send it to collections. And don’t bother asking why she didn’t do her job because she’ll just ask you if you were on the lease instead of giving you an actual answer. like i said though, the maintenance guys are absolutely wonderful when you inevitably have something in your apartment break.
OH YEAH, somebody got shot and killed in their apartment right before i moved out but it was an “isolated incident” so do with that what you will.

I called around the area of Decatur and was getting information about different complex an in the area and came in contact with The Clarion Apartments. The initial call was with leasing agent Amaia Elliott and she was knowledgeable and helpful with everything pertaining to the apartment complex.
I went in to tour the unit and the pictures didn’t do this unit justice. The unit was spacious and the model apartment was definitely homey. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept by the maintenance team.
THE LEASING AGENTS AMAIA AND CASEY ARE INCREDIBLE. They made the application process easy and were extremely helpful. I applied and got approved and looking forward to being apart of this great community.

The rating is based on the apartment tour, the complex is nice and well kept. The mailbox and trash area are neat and well kept. There is construction going on to widen the road in front of the complex, this area is high traffic as it is close to hwy 78 & 285. It’s close to a lot of shopping and the dekalb farmers market. As well as a hospital. We were greeted as we walked in and once we confirmed my time we checked in and promptly went to the viewing unit. The unit is open and has a generous amount of lighting, the rooms are a decent size. I liked that the unit has washer and dryers and a nice counter top in the kitchen.This complex does have a resource officer on the property and after hour maintenance. I did read reviews before I went and I made sure to ask plenty questions about the incidents and complaints. I was reassured about my concerns and kept in mind that this is a nice sized complex and some issues are due to come up. The grounds and walkways were clean. I did drive thru the complex that same night as it’s important to see how things are at that time and I was pleased to not see people loitering. Overall I would give the tour 8 out of 10. The five stars are for what I did like about the apartment and area.

Just moved in about a month ago and I absolutely love this property. The leasing agents are so nice and welcoming and the new manager is so nice and very engaged. The unit is spacious with a lot of storage and closets. I’m so happy because it’s exactly what I needed. It’s very quit at night

One of the worst experiences of my life to have lived here. Please save your time, your money, and your sanity. Please avoid this place. The managers are rude, the weed smell from every inch of this place is insane. It feels so unsafe to walk around here sometimes with people loitering at night. Idk why the crime here isn’t being talked about. But it’s getting out of control.
