They have self-checkout and are very good about security. Doors are closed at 9 pm, you can access the hotel with a code that every guest gets, and the code is updated every couple of days. The room was very comfortable, with soft pillows, and a good mattress. Everything was very clean. We had a lot of natural light in our room and we woke up to the sound of birds. Nearby you could see peacocks walking by in the morning. The entire area has a lot of wild birds. We thought the breakfast was not going to be good based on our experience in other hotels. But, what a great surprise to find out they have a very nice breakfast with lots of options. We had waffles every day, you cook them yourself with an easy waffle machine, it was very nice.”
“I mainly worked with Marina who helped facilitate an early check in. She was very kind even though I had countless requests. I felt that she made every effort to balance my requests and ensure we were accommodated in the best way possible.
I didn’t interact with Armani as much, but she was friendly each time I saw her.
There was a male at the desk one evening who was wearing a button down and I believe had facial hair. I don’t know his name. He was not very friendly.
Lee Lee who cleaned our room at least once, was very friendly and did a great job.
Leslie and Carol at breakfast were also very friendly to my wife and I and our twins.
The breakfast was not very good, but still probably better than a holiday inn express.”

We were helped by the front desk, housekeeping and room service and they all just went above and beyond to make our stay really great. The food from the hotel restaurant was also really good.”
“The Mari Jean has a perfect location. Upon my arrival on Wednesday around 2;30 pm. I was greeted by a very professional customer service representative agent who made my check in painlessly. He then showed me to my room where he explained how to use the remotes My room was spacious and spotless with great decor and crisp bed sheets. I attended the wine and cheese hour where I met Patrick. Patrick was very outgoing with the guest who attended the happy hour and was glad to answer any questions that the guest had.. I had a problem with my stay. I found the second floor hallway and my room which was located at the end of the hall on the left along with the bar was excessively cold.In my opinion the AC needed to reflect the current temperature outside. Although after complaining to the manager on the third morning I was offered another room. But due to a back problem that I have it would have been too much to move just for the night so I checked out. The bartenders were friendly and the hotel was impeccably clean. The owner should be honored to have a group of dedicated employees representing his hotel. Mark”

940 5th Ave S, St. Petersburg“I stayed two nights to attend two games at the Trop. My legs don't work very well but the hotel was close enough that I could make the walk both days with only minor issues. It['s very safe to get back to the hotel after a night game thanks to a large police presence. The room was very nice and clean. I used the pool once and it was in good condition. The breakfast was quite a bit better than most free hotel breakfasts. I thought the price was very reasonable for a 3-day weekend. I would definitely stay here again, and probably will the next time the Padres are in town to play the Rays.

234 3rd Ave N, St. Petersburg“The Exchange is a reasonably priced, dog friendly hotel in St Pete's. Near the water and not far from Central, there's lots within walking distance and the hotel itself is pretty cool, a remodelled old building just out of the way, the elevator is a little slow but the staff are nice and the decor makes up for it. The rooms are comfortable but it can get a little noisy during busy times like NYE or Halloween but that's to be expected. The bar has some decent food and good drinks as well, a great place to chat with other guests.”

“Stayed here before, but came back because its a true B&B experience. It's an older house but there part of the charm. Bed is comfortable and staff is so hospitable. Greta was so kind. Highly recommend staying here.”
“I'm not sure about the service with the rest of the staff but Jennifer at the front desk is outstanding. She helped me through the recent hurricane crisis with caring and kind consideration”
“Rooms are old and the bathrooms tiny, but it's clean and in a good location. The onsite gym has nice equipment - several treadmills and ellipticals. 1st Street Coffee is a nice little shop and serves Starbucks - their staff is so friendly and helpful!”
“It is a budget hotel so all I expect is just the basics and it certainly delivered that for me. The room was clean, all the appliances worked, no insects, or other surprises. This is an older hotel but with updates. I arrived late evening and the staff was great getting me registered.and into my room, and checkout was easy.”
“Beautiful place .... historical building with great personality.... The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean....the bed was amazing. Will stay here again... especially at such a reasonable price.Nearby activities: Right off the St Petersburg Pier...great food everywhere and there is a nice park across the street diagonal to the hotel”
“I stayed at the Hollander for work, but after my experience I will always stay here for leisure, too. The atmosphere is top notch. I've never felt so comfortable at a hotel. The boutique style of the rooms and the rest of the hotel was perfect. We ate several meals at the hotel, trying many dishes, and we were all amazed at how delicious all of them were. The coffee and pastries/desserts sold in the little shop off the Tap Room were great. We really enjoyed our server Vince at the outside bar. He was one of the best bartenders/servers I've ever had. AK was equally as phenomenal. I cannot wait to visit when it's not for business so I can enjoy the hotel even more.”
