“I accidentally took a few items too many and was short about 3 dollars. I am homeless and shop here because I get the most food for the $, I asked Trudy, the cashier to take off the apple bars. She told me not to worry about it, and that she's got it covered.. I think she charged it to the stores bank card, this completely caught me off guard.. I am used to being treated with bias for being homeless, Trudy treated me with empathy, this one store visit you guys are suddenly unmatched from any place else I shop, and I will be coming here way more often, I always find things cheap here that would cost 10-15 dollars at another store. I Appaud Trudy for stepping up and also applaud Dollar Tree for having this silent resource available to help others.”
