I had been told in advance to get the pancakes. I got the short stack with blueberries. I’m usually not a pancake person, but these were very good and they were generous with the blueberries. I also got the excellent ham steak which was thick-cut and nicely seared on both sides.
Max’s Table was busy on this Saturday morning. Since I was by myself I was able to bypass the line at the host stand and snag a seat at the counter. Service was good and the atmosphere a little crazy, but welcoming.

580 Blackburn Point Rd, OspreyFound this place on accident and it was such a great find. Staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. Got really lucky and was able to get two freshly made chicken empanadas, but really everything tasted fresh. The cubano, beef empanadas, the cream cheese pastry, all 5 stars on their own. Would 100% return, love these hole in the wall places.

I'm originally from Illinois, and this reminds me of home. Also love the Pastrami Ruben. Good daily specials, especially Taco Tuesday. Always had great service. Nice cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

1072 S Tamiami Trail, OspreyI'm from St.Pete & was passing through Osprey, FL when I overheard someone talking about this pizza place called Frankie's. I stopped by & had The Big Frankie w/ onion rings, it was excellent & very filling! The service & staff were engaging & awesome & they mentioned they were adding quiche to the menu so I can't wait to go back & try that along with everything else cause they don't just serve Italian. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Osprey, FL. This has gotta be a must stop!!!

Rosebud's Steak and Seafood House
2215 S Tamiami Trl, OspreyWe had a birthday dinner last night, Nov 9, 2025 and it was great! While a few said it was loud, the was not the case for us. Sunday at 6:30 PM may be a quite time.\n\nEach item we got was great from the Oster Rockefeller to the wilted spinach and everything in between was perfectly done. I had the King Cut Prime Rib and it said it was trimmed and it really was. It was thick, rare and more trimmed than I have had before. Yes, it was $50 but it was worth it. My wife had the shrimp and scallop risotto and the seafood had a light flame taste while the cheesy risotto was wonderful. My FIL had Land, Sea & Gulf and he was in heaven. My MIL had the Veal Piccata and she had not even found it on a menu around SW Florida. She loved it. \n\nWe got a bottle of the Frances Ford Coppola Claret, $43, (see photo) and it did not disappoint. Our server Julia was very attentive and deserves high marks. We will definitely be back.
