You have towels, shampoo and fabric softener and everything you need. The man who serves, I imagine he is the owner, excellent service. Very friendly and he provides bathing, hair styling and all those things. I imagine that by appointment. Not me because I only take my rotwailer to bathe him myself. Their prices are quite good. Fruitville Veterinary Clinic
719 Honore Ave, SarasotaDr Pepper and crew are the best. We trust them with our family ferbaby's life's . What more can we say . We lost our family vet and had 10 Papillions 8 years ago it has taken 6 years and 6 other local veterinarians that we tried with less than unsatisfactory results, leading to a few near desastor for our beloved fer family and we had become concerned that we would not be able to provide them with the BEST medical services possible in their senior years. One of our 11 male papillon caught a very dangerous and aggressive flesh eating bacteria that was quickly overtaking him . Hell, Marry, desperate call to Dr Peppers and his staff of angels after trying 2 other vets all the time he just getting worse and this was quickly overtaking him . This was it all or nothing for him, starting to think about the hard choice that may have to be made.( HAPPY ENDING ) DR PEPPER was able to identify what this was and with very limited treatment options med wise that would not hurt him but aggressive enough to kill the bacteria . Dr. Pepper called us to check on Brutus the next day on a Saturday. From that moment moving forward, i knew we had finally found our guy, and our babies are in good hands . One less thing to worry about. Brutus made a full recovery was a long road, but Dr Pepper got us home. P S Wanted to say thanks for seeing Tinkerbel and I Tuesday. She's feeling better and wants to say thanks, but no thanks , don't take that the wrong way it's a dog thang?

Dr. Watkins and his staff were super compassionate and empathetic and made the process as smooth as it could be. I'm sure he's done this many times, but you could feel his sadness. We've been going to this father and daughter team for half a dozen years and I would never go anywhere else. They are not pushy, they love animals, their team is amazing, and they know what they are doing. Yesterday afternoon I received flowers. I immediately teared up when I saw who sent them....Dr. Watkins and his team.

Beneva Animal Hospital Inc
3240 Gulf Gate Dr, SarasotaDr Paxson and her wonderful staff took care of my 2 beautiful dogs for the past 11 years through many allergy issues, Cushings disease, ear infections, skin issues, arthritis, spondylosis, etc. Treatment for large dogs can be expensive. Dr Paxson always presented us with options for care at different price levels and explained the effectiveness. 3 years ago, the day came to put my mastiff mix down. She was 185 pounds. Dr Paxson knew we couldn’t move her. She was gracious enough to drive to our condo in Bradenton and help our Zeda cross the rainbow bridge peacefully. She called a pet ambulance for pick up afterwards since it is near impossible to move a dog of that weight. Five star ⭐️ care and kindness. Last week it was time for our second dog. Dr Paxson had been talking us through the last 6 months as to when is the right time to make that decision as it’s so tough to acknowledge when it’s your beloved dog. Dr Paxson will take phone calls and make phone calls to follow up after office visits. I can’t say enough about the kindness, care and expertise of this Vet office and its staff. If you need a caring, wonderful veterinarian- don’t hesitate to make an appointment with Dr Paxson!

Gulfcoast Veterinary
7519 S Tamiami Trail, SarasotaOur little doxie was in very bad shape with a possible cancer diagnosis or liver failure over Thanksgiving. She gave his belly a very thorough exam with ultrasound going over his bloated tummy looking at every organ multiple times. Needless to say, he was very sick and we were in fear of loosing him. It was a very real possibility. Dr Ward is a genius and figured out the problem. He went in for multiple checkups and bloodwork to monitor his condition. Here it is 4 months later and his labs are basically back to normal! Liver failure is gone! He is doing very well. Also, the entire staff gave our boy so much attention and were so gentle with him and his dire condition. I cannot thank them enough. She saved our dog.

Huber Declan DVM
7081 Prospect Rd, SarasotaWe started taking our dog(Mong) to Dr. Huber about 5 years ago when he started having back spasms related to disc issues. Dr. Huber quickly diagnosed that it could be a slipped disc, medicated him, administered a steroid shot to get him by without invsaive surgical measure since it was his first flare up.A few years went by, my dog did okay for the most part, needed steroid shots here and there when the back problem flared up. When half of his body was paralyzed, he finally had to get a back a surgery to be able to walk again.fast forward a few years, geriatric problems hit him, it was time for us to consider putting him down despite him fighting through the disc issues relatively well. Went to see Dr. Huber for a quality of life consult. He didn't rush us to make decision to keep him or put him down. He gave us his honest thoughts on his quality of life. A week later, we ended up deciding that his quality of life is not very good, we decided to euthanize him.It was our first time euthanizing a dog (or any animal for that matter), it was a very comforting experience. Dr. Huber has such a demeanor that he puts everyone at ease. It could be because he's been doing this for a very long time.Although i will not be returning to his office in the forseeable future, as I do not have another furry animal, I want to say I truly appreciate his professionalism and compassion that he showed. Also, I did not get to learn each individual staff's names, everyone at the office was compassionate, warm and welcoming every time we went to visit. What a wonderful office! Will recommend to anyone looking for an experienced veterinarian.

With the multiple pods, each with free access to their own outdoor pods, we know dogs are always paired appropriately based on size and temperament and never cooped up in a cage while we’re gone. The K9 Coach | Sarasota Dog Training
7081 Prospect Rd, SarasotaWARNING! A LENGTHY but written-from-the-heart-review!I PROMISE you one thing - it will become a life altering experience for you and your dog to train with K9 Coach Michael Harvey. I do not say this lightly. I am an attorney and I know there are no guarantees to be given. However, I will say without reservation, that Mike Harvey is undeniably the most skilled trainer I have ever had working with any of my dogs over the years. He is exceedingly proficient at reading a dog's temperament and that of it's owner and adjusting his schooling accordingly. His patience with me has been remarkable, given the specificity that I require in the answers to my questions. He has even answered training questions that I have texted him about after 9PM and on weekends!Khaleesi and I started training last summer (2023). The several weeks of private sessions, which preceded the group sessions, allowed me to become familiar with the mechanics and expectations of the training, as well as helped establish a comfort level for Khaleesi and me prior to joining the group class. She was just a fun-loving one year old Bernadoodle puppy. I was just her fun-loving ?? year old 'mom'. She had the sweetest temperament, I was a tad more encumbered by an overloaded plate of life. BUT, I wanted to be able to make Khaleesi as much a part of my life as I could - you know - like in the movies where the dog goes EVERYWHERE with its parent. At 40+ pounds, she was strong, had the attention span of a whopping 45 seconds, loved to meet people and jump up on them OVER and OVER, bark at squirrels, and drag me around on the leash (I swear at times I thought of taking her to run the Iditarod) - well, you get the picture. But she was so dang SWEET and had a huge heart for everything and so gosh darn smart. She DESERVED to be challenged and learn things within a consistent, loving, and disciplined environment. And so we have become one of the over 1500 dog/owner pairs who has been truly blessed to find Mike.It has been 8 months since we began this journey (although she acquired and had a good command of the rudimentary skills well within the first 2 months) and this has been a remarkable and transformative experience for Khaleesi and me, as well as for anyone who has been around her. She is a hair under 70 pounds and is still the fun loving pup she was when younger. The big difference is that we have learned the skills we need to have to be around people, dogs, distractions etc. I have taken her to crowded outdoor restaurants and she "Places" next to me. We can walk downtown and she "Heels" next to me. Lately, she heels next to me without a leash as we walk to the mailbox or visit a next door neighbor. She stops barking with a "Quiet" command. We have more work to do, but I am so much more comfortable taking her with me everywhere I go.Khaleesi LOVES Mike and looks forward to our classes. He "gets" dogs and they sense that. Words of praise from him and a belly scratch make the most guarded of dogs melt. They respect him because he is consistent in his ask and his praise. This is the underlying theme he teaches us and it works with all types of dog temperaments, sizes, ages and breeds. I have witnessed it first hand. This is the MAGIC that Mike has and this is the magic he will teach you in his classes.I'll post Khaleesi photos later. Running to class now....

Cat Depot
2542 17th St, SarasotaWe specifically chose Cat Depot based on the several negative reviews. We personally felt that any shelter that prioritized the wellbeing of the cats above people wanting to pet a cat was the kind of place we wanted to adopt from.Their online application was very easy. It was maybe one full page of pretty basic questions that you’d ask anyone looking to adopt a new pet. Things like do you believe declawing a cat is ok? How many hours per day will the cat be left alone? If you couldn’t care for the cat what would you do? I mean, really really basic stuff. And the application is free.We went in to look at two cats — and it was obvious from the jump that it wasn’t going to be a good match. We were bummed, but Kim told us she had one cat she wanted to show us. We are SO glad she did!We ended up adopting Black Bean and, so far, he is a pretty miraculous cat, especially given his whirlwind life so far. He’s super chill and lovey, didn’t mind a long car ride, and adapted to his new home really quickly. He’s been an amazing addition to our family, and we can’t thank Cat Depot or Kim enough for taking such good care of our best boy who is still called Bean :)
