“It's Publix. What more needs to be said? I have been shopping at this store since it opened in 2016. I absolutely loathe the other chain (the one in High Springs). Not only is that store nasty, but they're more expensive than Publix.
Since I was a little kid (I'm an old geezer), it has been Publix. The Alachua store is great. Selection is always good and their people are wonderful.
Only complaint is minor: Why do we always have to call ahead for fried chicken? If you simply show up, more often than not, they don't have any.
Still, shopping is a pleasure here!”

“Wonderful little shop. I love their wide selection of canned fish (sprat, cod liver, etc) and Kiska sausages. My daughters love the variety of Russian and Eastern European candies. The owner is a sweet lady who is happy to help you find any items.”
“I have been using Hometown Pharmacy for 15+ years. The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. Always there to help you. I have tried many other pharmacies. But, I have found Hometown to be the best. They never try to rush you. They are friendly, courteous, and available. This is the only Pharmacy that when you call, the pharmacy actually picks up and the pharmacist is always available to answer your questions. When you call other pharmacies you're put in a queue, have to answer numerous questions, and then put on hold forever. It's such a pleasure to call this Pharmacy and someone from the pharmacy picks up right away. They even saved my life once, by alerting me and one of my doctors about a black box warning if two medications are taken at the same time (may cause death). It is truly a HomeTown atmosphere. I highly recommend Hometown Pharmacy.”

“Tried the curbside delivery method and it was okay. Wish I could have given instructions on selecting produce, they didn't select the way I would have. Also one incorrect product but they gave me a credit for that so no harm, no foul. They were unable to fill requested strawberries, but no charge so okay, maybe ran out (?). made two substitutions that I probably would have done if my primary product was unavailable. So overall pretty happy.”
“We were looking for an address and we arrived there by chance and although I don't believe in coincidences, there is nothing better than getting there. a cozy place, merchandise from a town pharmacy, fresh food, a clean butcher shop with no bad smells, good prices and several employees in each department. I am glad to know that there are more options to go shopping without tension”

“It's a Wal-Mart.... Not the biggest Wal-Mart but not a small one either. It's good for what Wal-Mart is. Update: Still a Wal Mart but they have redecorated and moved everything around, so now it's like shopping at a different Wal Mart but being at the same Wal Mart.”

“I have recently moved from Lake City to LaCrosse. I don't usually take the time to write reviews however, this store is special. The employees are beyond helpful, especially the manager. I have spoke with employees and managers from Ft White, Lake City, all the way down to Naples. Every one of these stores are operating on skeleton crews. Either because someone in the corporate office, sitting in a cushy chair decided it would be so much more profitable for the company as a whole to run these crews or they can't find people that are willing to work and make an honest paycheck. All I know is, this store gets in LaCrosse has the BEST of the BEST managers. She has figured out how to go above and beyond while running this limited crew. She is the first manager that actually does what she says. When certain items run low and the customer lets her know, she never forgets to order extra for my next visit. She doesn't care how small the item is or the cost. She is truly all about giving110% customer satisfaction. Thank You so very much!! You have a DIAMOND running the LaCrosse store. I sure hope corporate rewards these Google reviews and not just read them and discard them.”
