“You can never go wrong at trader Joe's. This place has just about everything you need grocery wise. Almost every single trader Joe's brand item has about five ingredients and all mostly organic or top grade pure ingredients. No fluff and stuff I don't think these guys believe in poisoning people like the rest of the chain stores out there. Beer and wine selection are awesome very reasonably priced too. We love to come here to get our cheeses and meats for charcuterie boards. We've eaten just about everything trader Joe's and I don't think I've ever been dissatisfied. EVER!!! This specific location has a lot of college students working and shopping here so just be mindful of the time that you come. It can get pretty busy. We have found that about opening to noon is good then from about 1:00 to 3:00 is good. Otherwise you're going to be in a smaller supermarket with tons of people. The staffer always super friendly had all the trader Joe's we've ever been to This location specifically is enjoyable and have never had a bad encounter with an employee. Love you trader Joe's keep up the good work!”

“I was exacting this place to have limited options and/or be super expensive but wow…this place actually has great options and reasonable prices ?!?!? They sell locally made tempeh for a great price…lots of Tofurkey options and Upton's stuff. Multiple brands of tofu. Plus they have a to-go section with plenty of vegan options! I was kinda scared but I'm so glad that I tried this place out. It's a bit far from me, but still…will be coming back.”

“Somehow I'd never been in here before today despite being a huge fan of ethnic grocery stores and someone who does cook a fair amount of Latin food. I found the store a bit smaller than I first expected but they have a lot of products all the same--indeed, they have a good selection of Caribbean Latin goods plus some Mexican/Central American and even a decent selection of West African foods and the all-essential red palm oil! I was not expecting that, but it's great they carry West African stuff because no one else seems to in town (inform me if I'm wrong here) plus a lot of these products are used in the Caribbean, too. This is also a pretty easy place to get to, despite being in a small and kind of weird, older, shopping center there's ample parking. Also, the bread they carry is very tasty-- be sure to get some of their bread while in for your groceries! Most importantly, the staff are super-nice and helpful. **** Tiene una variedad de productos mas amplia y el trato con los clientes es súper amable y de atención rápida. Además tienen estacionamiento muy accesible. Un excelente lugar para encontrar una gran variedad de productos y el pan que venden tiene muy buen sabor.”

“Aldi is the perfect staples food store. It doesn't have everything you always want like specialty bakery or deli items, but you can literally have a car payment's worth of monthly savings by shopping here versus Publix or Winn Dixie.”

“There’s an excellent variety of south Asian grocery items at this store. Some items are a bit higher priced and you’d be better off purchasing elsewhere. For example Walmart sells the 20 pound royal basmati rice for $20 and here the sell for around $25 to $29, in those cases it’s not worth it. If you are purchasing an item that is probably only available at this store it makes sense since Gainesville is a small town and there’s not a lot of south Asian grocery options. Just be conscious.”

“Best Halal grocery store in Gainesville! This is the only place I get my meats. They have new batches every week so their meats are always fresh. Also, sister Zee is amazing! ?”

“Very friendly staff. Store never feels too crowded. Everything is in stock all the time. And, purchasing lotto tix and turning the winning tickets in is fairly easy, although sometimes there is a line for the lotto exchange.”

“I love seeing all the different varieties for such a smaller store. The cheese and wine selection is really worth your time and money. Also I love their weekly sales on all their products that are so made.”

“Yes most Publix are pretty nice and clean. This place is phenomenal. It's beautiful It looks brand new inside and open aisles. Produce is usually nice and fresh bright and green. We don't live close to this Publix but we come here when we come to Gainesville and is an amazing place. Some people complain about the prices at Publix but to me the quality is worth the price!!! I would highly recommend this location to anybody and everybody. The staff are nice and friendly as well.”

“The staff here is generally very pleasant, location has easy access. I do not shop at this chain much because it's usually more expensive than others and the heiress owner supported the Jan 6 insurrection, but it is the one place locally that I know I can get a 25# bag of organic carrots reliably for a fair price, which has stayed the same since before 2020.”

“Amazing service every single time I go, which is something rare these days! Shoutout to Bijan at the deli which made me the best sub I’ve ever had and was one of the nicest employees I’ve ever met.”

“I used to work for Publix as a college student at Florida State University. They finally moved out of Florida into South Carolina and I enjoy going to my childhood Publix. I have one complaint about the deli department and it's happening every single time I go to the deli. The staff are not changing their gloves after completing an order to start a new order with fresh gloves. To their credit when I ask them to change gloves they are very good about doing so. Come on guys this is basic Sanitation 101 and why isn't management enforcing this?”

“Wonderful little shop. I love their wide selection of canned fish (sprat, cod liver, etc) and Kiska sausages. My daughters love the variety of Russian and Eastern European candies. The owner is a sweet lady who is happy to help you find any items.”

“BEST CUBAN SANDWICH IN GNV!!! ????????????Forreal though. I thought Pop-a-top had the best one, but i went here on a rainy sunday afternoon hoping they had a cuban, and i was NOT disappointed. Pop-a-top has a great cuban, but it's not quite like the ones you get in Tampa. This place NAILS it though. Fantastic sandwich, 10 out of 10, do not miss.”

“It's a decent area to go for grocery. Frankly speaking, I usually go to Aldi, Publix, Trader Joe. However, I do visit Wholefoods and Win-Dixie because they have products that can't be found in the place mentioned formerly. Almond Breeze chocolate flavor unsweetened is an example. I was able to find that offline only from Win-Dixie. Also, Win-Dixie often times have promotion for Cocacola products. When you want to get some Cocacola soft drinks, come check the area because they might have promotions.”

“This is the best Publix in town! Especially the deli staff, my wife only likes a specific custom sub with two different meats. The Market Square Publix staff is lazy and messes up the order every time, but this one always gets it right! I go way out of my way to shop here, but it is worth it.”

“My family was visiting from florida and needed to go to this store a couple of times during our trip. I like the store, although navigating it is a bit confusing sometimes. The prices are reasonable and the selection was great. I found everything I needed. What stood out the most, though, is the friendliness of the employees. Every single person I encountered was engaging and kind. I was asked a couple of times how I was doing and if I needed help finding anything. Such a great experience. I always love visiting Publix grocery stores when visiting.”

“Hi my name is Zac. We are visiting Dollar General late after in November of 2022. Parking is located alongside south of building. Entrance is easy to spot and the doors are automatic. Inside is your usually DG setup with storage buggy’s found in the middle of the aisle. The employees are almost always friendly and supportive. This is my neighborhood DG and I like to be just as pleasant with these guys.”

“Being a mom keeps us so busy. We barely have time for anything. Five stars to Mr. Jhon the butcher for helping me find my pasture raised chicken and separating it for me!”

“Bought some apple fritters for a friend we were visiting in the hospital at her specific request so she really likes them. Normal Pubix (clean, friendly and very nice). Pedestrian traffic made it a bit difficult to enter the paring lot on a busy road but that's not Publix's fault.”

“Mike P. who works in the Publix Liquor was the best employee I’ve ever encountered while going there!! He welcomed me in as soon as I got there, had a conversation with me not only about what I wanted to buy, but about other things like my new puppy and gave me tips on how to care for him!! Mike is an outgoing person and because of him, I will always come back to this location!! Thank you Mike!”
