Instead of fabricating something that wasn’t wrong he sent me on my way with a mechanical diagnosis that was correct but not involving the transmission, without charging me for any of his valuable time. I know I’ll eventually have an actual transmission issue with my older truck, and I’ll definitely be bringing it to Alvie!”

“I discovered Mack Motorwerks just a couple weeks ago. Owning a forty year old Posrche 911 has its difficulties. The major one being finding a competent shop that works on these types of cars. Their shop is incredible. Clean as a whistle. I spoke with their Porsche technician and was immediately convinced I was in the right shop (I have owned the car for 25 years). Actually the issue I brought the car in for this time was my shifter that I thought was trashed. Turns out I was wrong. It wasn't as serious as I thought. Saved me some serious dollars. Nobody had the part available not a dealership in the country not an auto parts store nowhere we were able to find, a company that had remanufacture parts for my vehicle they were able to install it with a day program by dealer for me and performed amazing service on my vehicle. “Jose and Erik provided great auto diagnostic & repair and much appreciated customer service.
I made an appointment by phone, but my battery gave up on my way there. I called Jose and told him what happened and he contacted a tow truck to give us a lift. Erik explained their approach and gave me an estimate - which was familiar as Jose explained the process when I called for the appointment. Maxi’s provided an Uber to take me home and when the repair was complete, they offered to send an Uber to bring me back. Erik went over the repairs [serpentine belt broke which resulted in loss of power steering & red light /battery icon on instrument panel; water pump also needed replacing; and other worn out parts replaced], which were documented and texted with photos during the process — the most professional repair and customer service I’ve seen. The cost was fair and my car is back to running smoothly. Thanks, Jose & Erik!”

Jim was very helpful, he referred me to a parts shop and I was able to get a transmission replacement with a three year warranty delivered to their shop. It was delivered early and the crew at Best Transmission was able two finish up the job quicker than expected! Very happy with their service!”

“When the bite point of my clutch was getting really high and I noticed the clutch was slipping while driving on 295 to a friend's holiday party I knew I needed to get the clutch checked out. I called Cottman transmission on Monday, dropped the car off in the evening right before closing, they checked it out, and called me Tuesday morning saying that they can order the parts and get the clutch fixed by the next day. I came back Wednesday morning and driving the car felt great, they gave me some guidance on what to look for in how the clutch is adjusted and asked I come in for a follow up in a few days to make sure everything is working great. The staff is great to work with and the turn around time is quick.”

“I highly recommend this place. Recently brought my 2020 Silverado 1500 WT edition to here due to a failing torque converter. I received top notch service by Dan. He called me after 3 hours from dropping it off letting me know that torque converter/transmission were bad & I needed it to be rebuilt. I ended up getting all Heavy Duty Parts installed with a Billet Torque Converter. Now my truck is shifting better than when I bought it. This place has very experienced people working here. “I was having mechanical problems with my 2005 Corvette C6 and brought it into Ortega Car Care, it was making a loud squeaking noise, and it was overheating, the change oil light and check engine light was on. They got me in the schedule right away, I had the car towed in on Monday 8/19 in the afternoon, they explained what could possibly be the issues and would check it out completely. Tuesday morning they did their engine evaluation and what they found to be the problem , was the water pump was worn out and had to be replaced , and replace the water pump housing, gaskets , and belts and provided me a detailed very fairly priced estimate, which I approved, right away. They kept me informed by text daily. They had to order one part, the water pump, and it was delivered on Thursday, Friday morning they called that it was all fixed , I went and picked it up, Paul explained all the issues and showed me the worn out water pump, they did little detailed things that matter a lot ,like filling the coolant, they replaced a blown tag light bulb and did a oil change, all at no charge, it shows what a professional caring garage they are, providing fast outstanding, helpful reliable service ,that you can trust.
As long as I have the Corvette, they have a loyal customer for life!”
