“I had a wonderful experience there, I got to visit numerous cats, and decided between 2 of them, I visited a few more times just to spend time with them both. I choose Itsy Bitsy Spider (that's what they called her) I call her Bitzy though, she was a runt and had a 1/2 tail that was all crooked and bent, but so lovable. I believe the story was some one shut her tail in a car or something as it’s 1/2 a tail and 1/2 the tail it’s bent about 30% to the side, then they left her at a fire station.
The other cat I didn't think would have a problem getting adopted because it was also lovable but with no noticeable flaws as you know sometimes people choose looks over personality so I went with the one I thought would have trouble getting a home.
The staff was nothing but gracious to me and I was thrilled with the place so much I send them donations when I can, but after the car wreck I was in last year I am on disability so I can’t donate as much as I would like to. I also dropped off some food and gave them a pink martini cat scratcher which was about 4 feet high and pink. I thought this underfunded place was simply fabulous! Yea for them! I went there in 2016 and Bitzy is still thriving.

“I love out of the closet! On this day they were having a mega sale on a plethora of clothes in the parking lot, $2 per item. They do that every once in a while but they have the best men’s selection for a thrift store in the area. They have tons of selections especially for jeans and shirts, which are color coordinated, as well as books! It’s the best place to beef up your book collection for only $1 a book sometimes. They also have a pharmacy inside so you can shop.”
“I live in the neighborhood and Handy gives every appearance of doing great work with the kids. I see them doing activities and playing sports. They provide a great energy! I’m happy they’re in my neighborhood.”
“I know many people who work there and they are truly caring honest people. I see fake reviews who make false claims easily disproven, but who would go and see for themselves? A sad slander against a quality charity. They do real work for MS patients. A standard all charities should meet.”

“Some items can be pricey... But most are reasonable. Lots of furniture... Knick knacks... Lots of books. Apparently, they changed the pricing on records. 78 rpm records which used to be a buck each, are now $2-$3 each. Found lot of them broken or damaged. Bah humbug! 5/9/24 78 rpm records are back to a dollar each and you'll get a discount if you buy more than 20. Check first to be sure.”

“Far exceeds expectations, the staff are loving and kind and don't treat you like you are less than. They speak to you with respect. There are 2 security guards on duty to keep everyone safe and they are very kind and not abusive. They provide many services. They provide meals starting at 930am until 1130am. And the food is great. You can shower here too. They let you pick out clothing and sometimes have hygiene products. They have case management that can help you apply for services like food stamps. You can get mail here. You can get a homeless verification which let's you get a state ID for free. This place is in my opinion the best service provider for the homeless. Please donate.”
