“Was in transit on my boat and the 12v alternator went kaput. After doing a little research and a quick call to confirm it could be inspected I dropped it at Southern. Within 5min Fred called with the diagnosis - a melted stator. Said he could fix it if I could wait a day or he could set me up with a new unit with higher output for about $20 more. Wasn't much of a decision as I had to get headed north. Thanks Fred!”
